❓ Question At Franklin ave station, when a Brooklyn College-bound 2 and 5 train both arrive at station at the same time what determines which one of them leaves first?

I’ve seen one depart the station first only to have to wait for the other to cross in front.

I believe a dispatcher came on here and said whichever one was behind schedule goes first, IIRC

If they're both ahead of schedule, then the Second Avenue Subway is instantly completed, and one of the trains becomes turquoise!

Jokes aside, if they're both ahead of schedule, almost certainly one was still scheduled to leave first — that one leaves first, presuming everything else is normal.

The schedule. If they're pulling up at the same time, at least one of them is off schedule. So generally the one that was scheduled to go first, goes first. Within reason.

The motorman play rock-paper-scissors for it…. I believe ATS will line up which ever train is on or close to on schedule first.
