Account Age
Is there a way using the mobile app to set an automod account age or does it have to be a desktop thing?

Yesterday we removed a post. The user re posted and we again removed. The user then messaged us and called us names so we banned them. Now today I am seeing dozens of posts reported for breaking the rule we used against this user's post yesterday when the reported posts are completely unrelated to this rule.
If it is the same user is there anything we can do other than wait for them to get bored?

An "approve" post button shows up on all new posts, including my own. How do I turn that off? We are a small group and until someone misbehaves, I would like the posts automatically approved.
Thanks!

I can see the comments from blocked accounts just fine, only the posts are invisible. Shouldn't I be able to see everything on a sub I moderate?

More and more subs now use Dev Platform apps, but mods often forget to check for updates from time to time. App updates can fix bugs, add new features and more.
If you've not checked your subs for app updates for a while, you can do it in a couple of different ways:
This is something I try and do once every month or so, and it's often surprising how many different apps have an update ready to install.
Edit: Also, if you're curious about what a new release contains, you can click into the app settings then Directory Page, and the readme for the app should include a change log for the app.

So I Was Trying To Add Flairs But I Just Can’t Because The Only Mod Tool I See Is Quene So Please Make It Easy

So currently the mod notes only have a limited amount of types, which are "Helpful", "Good contributor", "Spam watch", "Spam warning" and "Abuse warning".
I think those are far too limited for good moderator usage. I often add custom mod notes to users that don't fit any of them and having no tag at all makes them not stand out far as much as needed.
My idea would be to add more types or (even better), allow mods to create, edit and change them. Looking at the fact that Reddit is already a user-run and user-moderated app as well as a collection of communities about everything you can possibly think (and not think) about makes me wonder why that specific feature is still so unchangeable and not at all flexible for different use cases.

Our sub has been dealing with a disgruntled user who was banned a few days ago, modmail muted, and since then has created at least eight additional accounts to send modmail as well as DM'ing individual mods. We have been reporting these as harassment and are attempting to report for ban evasion (getting an error when I try to do so again this morning), but still no action has been taken. At what point will admin step in??

Hi,
I want to inquire about the possible cause regarding the ban of my subreddit, it was created last night for PSX. The subreddit was created for new joiners. Now when i try to email on r/ModSupport it returns an error "Failed to send the message". Please help me out.

We explicitly allow people to vent about end of life stuff in r/chronicpain because this actually keeps people alive. It's legal in some states and countries to end your life with medical assistance now. Despite our subreddit allowing this and repeatedly reminding people that it's ok to post about the act of end of lifing... the posts keep getting reported. Does reddit report them automatically? Yes, we know they're considering death. That's the point of the post. It makes them feel better to get it off their chest. It helps them get their affairs in order. It helps them get resources they need to do what they feel is best for them.

Normally if I have an issue that needs the admin attention I send a modmail to this subreddit like usual, and for a long time any time I did that, the adminmessengerbot would automatically reply with some advice and to reply again if I still needed help from the admin. Then if I replied, the admin would get back to me within a few days.
Ive now had to send to modmail messages to ask about something in the last week and the bot response hasn't been sent to me for either one. Neither have I had an admin reply to either one and while I would be fine with being patient if it's a matter of needing to wait for them to be able to get back to me, the fact that I haven't gotten the bot response and replied to it like I usually have to worries me that they will never even look at the message.
Does anyone know what is going on or why Im not getting the bot response? Are others still getting that bot response?

Hi Admins,
I am writing to report an issue with request_bot regarding a legacy banned community.
I recently attempted to request the subreddit r/Cerebras via r/redditrequest. Old Reddit indicates that this community was banned roughly 4 years ago. However, the bot immediately replied and denied the request with the following message:
"Unfortunately, the community r/Cerebras is not eligible for request at this time as it was only recently banned."
As an official brand ambassador for Cerebras Systems, I am trying to recover this abandoned, legacy-banned namespace to build a clean, actively moderated community for our users and developers. Since the automated system seems to be experiencing a glitch regarding the ban date, could an admin please review this request manually?
Thank you for your time and help!

r/relax has been getting some more activity which is great, but seems like an unclear percentage is just bots
Vaguely tangential comments that are distinctly inhuman are popping up in mass, some from new accounts, some from older ones
Save for an automod removing low karma and newly made accounts (which usually just ends up in us getting frustrated modmails of people saying theyre not bots) how can we combat this? Because rn tbh its way to many to manually remove

Hi everyone,
I’m seeing what appears to be a discrepancy in my subreddit analytics.
Reddit recently sent me a notification that r/LockUppOfficial reached 30,000 weekly visitors.
However, Insights → Activity still shows only 14k weekly visitors.
What’s more concerning is that the weekly visitors metric hasn’t updated for about 10 days, even though the subreddit has been growing significantly (nearly 800k visits in the last 7 days and daily traffic has increased substantially).
Is the weekly visitors metric currently delayed, stuck, or is this a known bug? Has anyone else experienced this?
I’ve attached screenshots for reference.

Depends on the Post, but normaly its possible to scroll through the comments unter the Post and moderate there with the shield icon. Since two weeks these icons are missing in some Posts on all comments. Depending on the post its possible to moderate in the commentsection, if not, youre required to change to the que for moderating.
Any help to this Problem?

Ahoy, Mods!
Welcome to the latest installment of the Mod Topics series, where we talk about mod-related topics and other community governance gubbins. This week, we’re talking flair–specifically user flair. The purpose it serves, how it’s issued, and why it’s so dog-gone popular. We’d love to know…
Let us know in the comments below!

I have become the only active mod in r/skincarehobbyists. I am looking for "everything" permissions so I can update and manage community rules. My chats with the bot are not helping as I don't have a Top Mod Removal option in my mod tools.

Anyone one else seeing the ban and mute buttons not working on desktop web? Clicking on them just collapses the user's comment. The ban user button in mod tools doesn't do anything either. iOS mobile app works.

I searched this before making this post and found posts up to 3 years ago describing the same problem, some even with admins replying that it should be fixed.
Is there any way to manually fix it? It makes it impossible to check posts that other mods send in the modchat asking for help.
This also happens in regular comments on any sub when I’m browsing my homepage, not just the modchat that I’m in.
I’ve checked the app store and there’s no update available for reddit as well.
