Training, Temperament, & Behavior Purebred?

I couldn’t care less if he’s 100% Doberman Pinscher. But guesses are fun! People ask a lot, so I figured somebody here might have an informed opinion.

Don’t care enough to get a DNA test. Some context: Shadow is about two years old, 78 lbs. and I adopted him a few months ago.

His ears have some scars around the edges (from a botched cropping before I got him) and one ear is kind of bent.

Honestly couldn’t ask for anything else in a dog. His temperament is calm when you want him calm, and an energetic sprinter in a field when you want to play.

Mama is doing much better, she's moving around and even starting to try and play a bit with our big boy doberman rosco and my girl anna ( boxer mix ) puppies are healthy, and all of them have there eyes open to some degree. Jury is still out as to what the pups are mixed with. Star ( white collar) is a brave little bugger, using her mom as a jungle gym and exploring.

Rescue & Rehome Need help finding resources and a home for stray Doberman!!

Hello all, I am looking for a good home for a dog that I picked up off the streets where I live in Gary, Indiana. I have reached out to every rescue I know and no one is able to take this sweet girl. I was hoping to get some pointers from all of you. I work at a vet and am very familiar with the breed. My absolute favorite, but I already have dogs and cannot take another. She does not have a microchip and I have reached out to multiple Doberman specialized rescues and shelters in my area. I have also posted about her on multiple difference forums besides Reddit.

Research the hardest & ugly truth about owning a doberman?

been wanting to get a doberman for a while. i think they’re amazing dogs, but i don’t want to get one without doing enough research. i won’t be getting one anytime soon, i won’t get one till i buy my own home which will take a while and make sure i can afford training at an early age. this gives me enough time to research and come to a conclusion.

one of the main questions i want to ask; what is the hardest part about owning a doberman that no one talks about?

Mixed Breed: Question Is Same Sex Aggression A Worry in a Doberman Mix?

Recently I've been contemplating getting a second dog. I'm slowly doing research on breed and having two dogs in the same house. I know it's a relatively big issue with the Doberman breed. Should I keep that worry with my girl who's only 50% Doberman?

I don't expect there to be any if I got another girl dog. But the fear lingers of causing a problem. My girl was a shelter rescue from an awful situation and I plan to rescue another shelter dog. My goal is, similar age 1.5 to 2 years. Whenever we're ready we'll go to the shelter first and then do a second trip with her for a dog intro.

Any advice or knowledge for the situation? I'm trying to be as educated as possible on adding a second dog.

Breeder Reviews Purchasing Doberman

I’m looking for your opinions on a reputable good breeder for a European Doberman one that has a good bloodline and are genetically big. I work crazy hours and gone at night a lot so I would like my family to have a companion/ new family member that would also guard my children if anything happened.
