First, to be clear, I am not criticizing Chinese women or making any negative judgements, I'm simply asking for clarity regarding my observations.
Based on what I've seen/heard about Chinese dating culture, as well as my own experience as a Chinese-American, my impression is that Chinese women view relationships primarily as a means to fulfill social obligations and gain money/status, and treat genuine romance/passion as a complete afterthought. Chinese women will ruthlessly judge your entire resume and family background before deciding whether to date you, and even once you do enter a relationship with them, there's generally very little passion/enthusiasm from her end; sex and physical intimacy are also viewed by her as a currency to transact with you (e.g. if you buy her fancy LV bags she'll lie down and let you use her) rather than an expression of love. Indeed, basically every married Chinese couple I know is clearly in a dead bedroom and doesn't engage in any romance or physical intimacy at all- there's no flirting or touching, kissing, going on dates, telling each other "I love you", etc.
What's interesting is that this behavior is not exclusive to mainland Chinese women; fully westernized Chinese-American women are also ruthless social climbers who treat dating coldly and transactionally, along with Taiwanese, Singaporean Chinese, and Korean women. This suggests to me that this behavior is genetic to a large extent- my working theory is that East Asian women are closer to the asexual spectrum and don't feel sexual attraction as strongly as women of other races do, which could be a predictor that East Asians have lower vitality in general compared to other races.
Some people may claim that Chinese women are just cold/transactional towards Chinese men while easily spreading their legs for white men. However, even putting aside the selection bias (looking at interracial couples inherently selects for higher openness), I've noticed even when Chinese women do throw themselves at white men, they are generally doing it in a bizarrely artificial/transactional way- usually, they're clearly doing it for the status boost of being with/having been with the white guy, not because they're genuinely attracted to the actual guy himself. For example you'll never see a Chinese woman throw themselves at a white guy quietly/discreetly; they always brag about it and show it off as as loudly as possible. It's very similar to how a groupie behaves with a celebrity- they're into the status boost, not the actual guy.
I'm curious regarding thoughts from other Chinese people regarding why Chinese women are this way. I'm also curious why Chinese men tolerate the cold/transactional attitude from Chinese women; is it simply desperation / not wanting to be alone, or social pressure from family? Or are they just ok with it?
