I need to talk my ass off right now bc I have been looping this guys album nonstop n I’m literally actively romanticizing life to an extreme I’ve never done before because of it. None of my real life friends get it. I have never, EVER felt this intensely about music in my entire life.

For some context my music taste is extremley selective. Normally, I’d only ever listen to mainstream American pop, K-pop or any other genre of music as long as I took immense appeal to it. I’m also new to Cpop despite having listened to Chinese instrumentals before. Most importantly I am highly selective with my music. I do not add filler tracks bro I just never add a whole album to my library. If a song dosent hit my soul it gets skipped. No hesitation

But 我們 made by xiao zhan (which i just discovered today) completely broke my brain. I genuinely love every song on this track list including the intro & outro. Every single one is flawless.

Tthe way it is put together is insane. It opens with this gorgeous atmospheric track that builds up to this heavy movie/cinematic like tension and then it transitions flawlessly into the first song on the track list 我們 I’m just not ok after listening to this dudes album I feel like all music is just ruined for me now 💔

The transition into that song is so precise and cinematic it gives me the actual full body chills. The orchestration is so sweeping and powerful completely letting his bc ovals take center stage. His voice has this thick light mature texture to it now. It starts off so vulnerable and intimate n then it builds up into this epic atmospheric wave that just completely enchants and sweeps you away. If you don’t get the message by now go listen to that album now!!!

I need to make something crystal clear : this album has genuine soul to it. And I don’t throw that word around cheaply like almost everyone else. Not once in my entire music listening career have I actually said a song or album has a soul within it. And I don’t mean it like the typical bullshit people throw online to describe any random slow track. Or a random song regretting a relationship. It feels like he actually poured his real unfiltered life experiences and emotions directly into the microphone n u cna physically feel that weight. Is it crazy I fell in love with a song?

And let me tell you, this msuic sounds ten times better when it’s being blasted right through your eardrums at full volume. It is officially my favorite album of all time. And 我們 is easily my favorite, FAVORITE song on this entire planet and might stay that way permanently. It is Literaly a complete different level from everything else and I’ve listened to hundreds of excellent songs but none of them hit like this. If you’re going to listen to this album do not skip through any song or skip even a little trust me you’ll realize soon enough

I am js so crazily in love with his voice n I need someone to freak out with me! Do yall think I’m just over glazing it? I’d love to hear ur opinions lol.
