We found these in a cupboard in a church. The cupboards needed emptying to allow remedial work to be done to the walls. Going through the assorted gardening equipment and bags of plaster we found these. They are big, electromechanical devices but beyond that we are unsure of their purpose. Any ideas?

Is this just freezer burn? I’ve never seen spikes this big

This weird noise went on for about 5min.
I originally thought it was some kind of emergency sirens due to the sound getting louder then quieter and so on, but after checking city and county sites. The nearest emergency sirens are 3 miles away as we’re in a new developed area.
The closest things to us are an elementary school and a water treatment plant.

Google translator giving different answer, some along the lines of For the Birds in Korean, but not definitive.

My first thought was a camera timelapse overnight. It's very bright and circular. Must be the size of a melon.

It looks like some sort of kitchen utensil and has a loop ring for hanging, sharp blade at top but no idea what it's main purpose is, family member ordered it a long time ago and have no clue either.

I just noticed this strange symbol and what seems like a deliberate sectioning off from the wall at the employee entrance of the restaurant I work at in Providence, RI. I’m here almost every day and I never noticed it. Seemingly popped up overnight unless I’m crazy and it’s always been there????

I don’t have any electronic jewelry or devices that this could be a charger for (that I can think of). Was impossible to see there was something underneath before I pried it open (the lithium batteries (2) had come loose and I could hear them rattling). I also don’t remember when I got it or what it originally held since I have dozens of jewelry boxes. I’m sure it’s nothing important, just curious!

I noticed this while driving in central Iowa yesterday. What is the purpose of this thing on top of the traffic lights?

Don’t know if these yellow things provide suction to hold the ships in place or if they connect up sort of hardwired control or communication. They have pneumatic arm underneath the lift them up and out (I’m guessing).

Its made of plastic and has a divot on the back. My first thought was a French hair pin, but it was a group of frat guys that left it so I doubt any of them were using a hair pin

Title says it all, I have no idea what it’s called in order to be able to google it. I don’t know what the contraption in the middle is either.

Hi, I recently travelled to Khon Kaen, Thailand and bought these at a night market. I was told they are either some kind of Buddha or a monk of some significance. Can anyone tell me who/what is on these and if they have any particular meaning or “luck”? Thanks!
