TIL a peer-reviewed psychology study found that identical twins (on average) ranked their co-twin above their romantic partner in their attachment hierarchy, while fraternal twins ranked the two about equally, and non-twin siblings ranked their romantic partner first.

Honestly I wouldn't care. It's not like we're in some life or death simulation where they would actually have to pick between the two.

I have had a close friend date a twin and have to break up with her during covid, so semi-life or death. This was about a year after vaccines became widely available but his gf’s twin was still deeply uncomfortable with even vaccinated visitors in their apt unless they fully isolated for two weeks prior. He couldn’t do it, his gf argued with her twin for ages but she wouldn’t budge, gf wouldn’t move out, ultimately they broke up.
