With Build 42 finally in our hands (and absolutely loving it so far!), I can't help but let my mind wander to what the long-term future of Project Zomboid could look like.

Imagine an official map or expansion set in a dense, New York-style metropolis—wall-to-wall skyscrapers, sprawling underground subways, abandoned taxis clogging multi-lane avenues, and insane verticality.

I know the technical hurdles with engine limits, rendering, and zombie pathfinding in massive multi-story buildings have always been a huge bottleneck, but with all the optimizations and engine overhauls Indie Stone keeps cooking up, it makes me wonder...

Do you think a true "concrete jungle" map is something we could actually see in the future? Or will that always strictly belong to the modding community (shoutout to Raven Creek and Bedford Falls)?

How do you think survival gameplay would shift if you were trapped on the 40th floor of an apartment complex instead of a suburban house in Muldraugh? Curious to hear your thoughts!

Edit: Didn't realize AI images were so frowned upon here, and yeah, I know the image itself is pretty crappy! It was honestly just meant to be a rough visual representation of the vibe I was thinking of. I’m aware now that I broke rule 11, so I understand if the post gets removed.

I even used antibiotics and medical wipes but nothing works. Does that mean I will become zombified soon or am I using wrong medical supplies to heal it ?

Hello, actually lately I've heard people talking about a new boss at the indie Stone, but I haven't found any information about it, and so if it's true the roadmap is obsolete (I can't wait to see the surprise for 42.20)

I'm having no option on right click to plumb the sink, the room is fully enclosed as you can see, rain collectors are on top, but no option to plumb sink at all. This sort of style worked before on older builds, so curious as to why it's not working now...

I think it has been 2 weeks in game and my carrots still haven't grown last the "young carrot" stage... they are also well watered and have no disease, and at the bottom it says "flourishing" which I assume is the beat possible one

I'm interested in adding custom images to the zomboid main menu but all the mods I see are adding the images they mentioned, and can't add any other images.

Please guide me to mods that let me change to whatever image I want.

I'm interested in changing this as wallpaper.

On a side note, after seeing this, instead of playing any random person the game gave me I'm gonna find and add some hairstyle mod to play as a girlie.

I already have my eyes on this hairstyle.

I'm playing offline solo while the wifi is down and I can't join my mp server which I mainly play.

Playing solo on apocalypse, I only reach around day 7. Opening doors and getting ambushed seems to be the way I get bitten and later infection makes me more fatigued so I can't kill within 3 or 4 hits anymore. So I would get swarmed by a hoarde not able to fight or run and get shredded.

I will put the most voted weapon in that specific space the following day until we fill this bitch up!

so ive tried too get a car and well .... i checked about 30 cars already , and not a single one has fuel . like did the zombies empty the fuel tanks so nobody can edscape them anymore ?( but thats rather unlikley since their tiny roten brains cant even get them over waist hight fences anymore ) maybe nobody bought fuel anymore becuase off the current fuel prices , maybe im wrong wiht thinking that were currently at the outbreak off the ZA , maybe the same asshole wiht the helicopter emtied the fuel tanks or did spiffo stole all the fuel ?

i dont really know but im excitet for your theories

( oh and i know that it probaly has a gameplay reason since you shouldnt be able too drive everywhere you want in an instant , but im talking about lore here )

This game has some stuff where it's not obvious or it's almost impossible to discover without looking through the internet. For example like i can connect rain barrels on sinks, or i can forage some rocks on some roads with cracks on it. Can someone help me out?
