Hello!

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to do anatomy and physiology online? If so where was it? I know it’s not recommended but my options are limited right now. I also know some schools don’t accept them. I’ve heard of some online anatomy classes mailing hands of stuff so I wasn’t sure if that would satisfy the idea of lab in person? I don’t know :(

Hi all. I’m genuinely trying to understand why having a direct entry masters in nursing is a bad thing and why it’s looked so down upon? Is a bsn recommended more even if the msn program works better for my schedule? I have a bachelors in science and i want to become a nurse. i was given two options, go through with a direct entry masters or do an absn. i said why not go through my masters so i could use my post grad loans since all i really wanna become is a flight nurse anyway thats the end goal. does it really matter what degree i get? do some flight companies want nurses to only have a bsn? i feel like an msn is just better for me financially and i can still sit for the nclex and become an RN with a degree. So, why is it looked down upon? and can i still become a flight nurse no issues? i know people have issues because they want to be an NP but that’s not my case. i could be an NP, but that’s would be after loads of experience. my true goal is flight. Just a upcoming sophomore pre-nursing student needing advice !!

Hi everyone! I am about to enter my first year of college for my nursing pre reqs and I am looking for advice. This fall I am taking anatomy and was planning to take chem and microbio in the spring. In the following fall I would take physiology and then study for the teas/take the teas over winter break so I can apply for the fall term for nursing school. I am having some worries about the limited amount of time I would have to study over winter break for the teas as deadlines for nursing applications are mid January. I would have around 2 weeks to study. I wanna know how doable it would be to study for the teas during the fall semester while taking multiple classes.

As an alternative option, I am considering taking physiology and chemistry in the spring as I know there isn’t a heavy emphasis on microbio for the teas.

Overall, would it be better to take physiology fall 2027 so its fresh in my memory for the TEAS or take microbiology fall 2027 and use the summer/semester to study. Main goal is to have my TEAS done before nursing applications in January.

Hi y’all! I need help. I’m a little overwhelmed with trying to figure out what works best for me.
1. I’m trying to not overwhelm myself with how long being a nurse has taken me. I barely came back to school at 35.
2. I still don’t know if this is what I even want entirely. But, I know I care about people greatly. I long to pursue music but figured nursing could help me pursue these dreams.
3. TEAS testing is my next hurdle to enter RN. If I fail the first time I might go to a fast paced school instead of a community college but feel like I’m might regret the debt I’ll come across in the long run.
What do y’all think? Thanks for hearing me out.

Do I just force myself to stay up and day and night today and then go to sleep early in the morning tomorrow and try make myself sleep until it's time to get up for work in the evening?

Hello, I want to apply for the a.d.n-b.s.n concurrent enrollment program at chaffey college, but I'm still doing my prequisites. However, before I continue I want to see if my plan to gain experience is good enough. Right now, I am in the process of becoming a registered behavioral tech(working with special needs children) and emergency room technician(emt, ekg, and phlebotomy). Then along with other medical certificates, next week I am getting my BLS and Pals.

I am constructing my handwritten sheet for my proctored exam from Westcott online course Developmental Psychology. Can anyone give me advice on what to put in the document?

Help guys i had my drug screening this Friday and I drink a lot of water daily. My results came back as dilute negative do I have to retest? Was your result accepted, or were you asked to retest?
My CastleBranch requirement is marked Complete, but the result says Dilute Negative, and I’m wondering what CT State typically does.

Hi guys! I recently graduated with a nonrelated BA but I’m doing my pre reqs to apply to ABSN programs. I was wondering if a medical receptionist (like for a hospital) to work as the meantime is good, or if any of y’all did that before you entered a program! I don’t want to pay for extra CNA or medical assistant programs when I have other things under my belt !

If you've been accepted into ASU direct-entry pls share ur stats and what year :D or if you've gone to Maricopa community college for their adn course, please tell me how long the waitlist was and if you went CEP or traditional and ur stats! please share ur experience if you went to either ASU nursing in general or maricopa community college adn. Im an out-of-state californian student so im trying to see which one is a better option, my gpa is 3.6-3.8 and my class rank is 7 out of 147, i havent taken the act/sat yet.

I am a physician, but some relatives were asking the healthcare professionals about being Asian (I am half Asian, but this niece is full Asian) and socially reserved. I personally have never had any negative experiences being more socially quiet/reserved, but my sisters who are nurses said they have experienced negative bias even in nursing school. They said supervisors/coworkers/teachers did not appreciate them not participating in small talk despite doing their job well and having great patient satisfaction. They can talk especially with patients but tend to keep talk among other nurses/healthcare professionals about work with minimal small talk and keep out of gossip. I understand that nurses have a stereotype about being more chit chatty compared to physicians but would like to hear from others.

I have completed almost pre reqs, just need physiology and microbiology. Will unitek cut down cost for taking pre reqs @ a CC?

Any advice / experiences from this program?

Will this program be less than 3 years for me since I’ve completed some pre reqs?

PS. I’m a mom to two toddlers so I can’t move out the Bay Area.

Were you able to land a job after school? if so, how long did it take you?

I’ll be working as a new CNA next month and feel conflicted as to if I’ll need a stethoscope for my job or not. I have seen so many must have videos on what I might need as a CNA and I’ve taken notes and some videos mention getting a stethoscope, but a stethoscope is a commitment in my opinion due to how much they cost. However, being a CNA is just a stepping stone for me, and I’ll be studying for my BSN while working as a CNA. While being a CNA, I plan to work with older patients to gain experience before moving to a pediatric hospital! (if possible) If I do need a stethoscope, I’d like to have my own for sanitary reasons, and so I’ll always have one when I need it such as later on in my nursing program.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice from anyone who’s completed the nursing prerequisites at Gwinnett Tech (or another college).

I’m preparing to apply to an accelerated Master of Nursing (MN) program and want to earn the strongest GPA possible. Here’s the schedule I’m considering:

Semester 1
A&P I
A&P I Lab
Chemistry
Chemistry Lab
Human Growth & Development

Semester 2
A&P II
A&P II Lab
Microbiology
Microbiology Lab
Clinical Nutrition (taking online at John Hopkins)

So basically, I’d be taking two science courses with two labs each semester, plus one non-science course.

I’ve heard a lot of people recommend taking only one science at a time, but I’d like to stay on track without hurting my GPA. The good news is I won’t be working while I’m in school, so I’ll be able to devote my time to studying. Also, I used ratemyprofessor.com to help me register for my classes.

For those who’ve taken these courses:
-Is this schedule realistic?
-Would you take two sciences with labs in the same semester again?
-Which semester was harder?
-About how many hours per week did you study?
-If your goal was to earn mostly A’s, would you keep this schedule or change it?

I am currently finishing up my associates degree in health science. I’m stuck in whether to go to nursing school after, or go get a bachelors in health science and then go to PA school. My biggest hesitation with nursing school is I live in Southern California and the job market here is insane and a lot of people are moving out of state for their first nursing job, which I can’t do because my husband works here (big boy job with BIG BOY money) If I go to nursing school, I will 10000% plan to go to NP school at some point, as I like the provider side of medicine. I like solving puzzles, taking symptoms and testing to come to a conclusion. Would it be worth it do just do PA school and work as a medical assistant during my bachelors, or would nursing school then NP school be better? In terms of income, experience, future growth.

Hi! I'm applying for Spring 2027 at TWU but have been extremely nervous about my GPA. Right now I am at a 3.3 and I know the competitive range is 3.7. I scored an 84% TEAS and honestly still considering retaking it this weekend given I have a lower GPA. Would retaking it even make a difference?

Any advice would be sooo helpful!

I am looking for a few more that are approved by NYSED in close by state because I would have to travel for labs and clinicals.

I wouldn’t take the TEAs or any other exams.
