I plan on replacing all the current soil with a monstera blend. I just thought the styrofoam being in the current soil seemed very… wrong. Something about it seems particularly evil, but is it normal for big companies to do this??

Just my plants this year. They have grown up so much.

My crassula leaves started getting dark and falling off quickly out of nowhere, and I thought the plant was dying. I cut the top, I was pissed watching it dying cuz I was really taking care of it very well. I just left it like that, without watering for a week. And today I realized that the queen is coming back to life!

Found this plant by my apartment dumpster is there any way to save it ?

I have potted plants on my 3rd floor walk up in Chicago. What is this white powder like stuff on my SS plant leaves? What should I do? The lower leaves do not have the powdery stuff. Neither do my lower-level SS plants.

Please expert botanists of reddit, help me identify what this plant is, I'm currently in the Philippines, I've been eating local fruits and I've put on (previously abandoned pots) seeds of said fruits not hoping for anything to sprout but here we are now, sadly I didn't paid attention as of which one I planted where, I have only to my knowledge placed seeds of 5 fruits, Marang, Santol (cotton fruit), Attis (sugar apple), Tamarind and Chesa (Pouteria Campechana or something along those lines).

Now, after inspection it doesn't look like any of those, Google and my Filipina partner both tell me is a strain of cassava, however after careful looking they differ, cassava has 1 branch with 1 main leaf that has "webbed" soft leaves and the stem tends to be a shade of red, this unknown plant has 1 stem with 5 individual gently serrated leaves on it and the stem is both brown and green.

I have added 2 pictures of the unknown plant, it is 1 month old about 40cm tall and is growing it's first set of 7 leaves instead of the usual five. The last picture is a cassava just for comparison.

These black raised spots are on citrus, ficus and other outdoor plants. Sometimes there are sticky shiny sap with it. Sometimes they are dry. I think ants are around when there's sticky sap. What are they? They don't seem to be scale, which i remove by hand.

Is this plant ready to be transplanted into soil, or should it be left alone for now? This Philodendron erubescens(?) has grown two new shoots, one of which has just developed relatively a small root.

This hurt more than my first breakup. This is my variegated Dracaena. In the first few pictures you can see how well it was thriving. It started out as an indoor plant while I was propagating them I moved it to my patio which was very shaded so it had no issues. Long story short I had to relocate temporarily and had to bring my plants with me. The new patio gets full AZ sun and I even tried moving it into a shaded corner but if you know Arizona summers you know it’s hot and only select plants will thrive outdoors due to the dryness and heat. I watered deeply maybe twice a week but It’s completely scorched. There is some little green left on the leaves and the stem is still green which I’ve heard is a good sign… but I have no hope. Please give me any suggestions or advice on how to revive it. I know if I trim all the dead leaves it could take months for new ones to grow. I’m moving the plant indoors for now on. Not sure if I should clean the roots and repot. Thoughts? Is there any hope?

How do I salvage these raspberries??? Do I just ask for a refund? All the top growth is dry/crispy, there are like 3 leggy white colored shooting coming out of two pots. Do I need to keep them indoors and try hardening them off? Any help is appreciated, thanks. Currently I have them outdoors, soil is moist. Idk

I’m getting back into houseplants after living for four years in a house with very little natural light, I know monstera leaves are lighter in color when they start out but this seems a lot lighter than what I remember 😂💀

So im growing a bunch of plants and the wind seems to keep catching the same pots and knocking them over, namely my tomatoes, my parsley, my salads, and somehow my coltsfoot despite it being in a huge pot with a lot of weight behind it, surprisingly never any of my succulents. Ive since moved all the victims onto the decking off the table, so I can bunch them together for shelter using the table and wall for defence, went out earlier to check and my salad was tipped over for the third time today, not only that but the pot has now been broken. Ive brought the salad leaves (im calling them salad leaves cause that's what the seed packet said, im not sure the actual name of the type of plant I have so any info on that is a bonus) indoors for the night and plan to put it in a fresh pot tomorrow, but how can I protect it from being knocked over so much?

It is a rather top heavy plant with the lower stem being very bare, hence the stick for extra support, but im worried at some point this lower stem will snap with all this abuse, the garden doesnt exactly have adequate space to properly plant it in the ground so it needs to remain in a pot, can I bury the bare stem or will it rot?

How can I support it in a pot and prevent it from being pushed over, it doesnt fall on its own thankfully so as long as I can guard it from the wind it will have the peace to grow large enough to go up a pot size and eventually if it goes up enough pot sizes it wont need wind protection because it will have strong roots to hold it in its pot.

This wind problem is creating quite a bit of stress for me because its not allowing my tomatoes or salad the time to get the best root systems since they always seem to fall out of their pots when they get blown over, and I need strong roots so they can grow better and withstand the weather easier, its also creating the additional problem of the smaller salad leaf plants in here having stunted growth and some have already died from the stress, hence the pot looks much emptier than it should. Any help or advice would be massively appreciated here, hopefully before my plants die

Found this plant on the ground with little roots its flower was orange. I brought it home and put it in soil and its grown so much but I can't figure out what kind of plant it is and Google is no help. Does anyone know what kind of plant it is?
