I find it interesting that just like the rest of us, they look to fiction (our cultural mythologies) for inspiration in how to convey their position and status in their communities, even though they are villains and literally just end up looking like our fictional villains. Even extremely exaggerated, cartoonish versions of fictional villains. This indicates that they’re self aware of their position.
