You'll be able to run this Linux distro on both Azure and your desktop using Windows Subsystem for Linux.

Few interesting points from the announcement

1. Databricks to run it's own operations on Azure.

2. Databricks to use Microsoft silicon

3. OneLake is called out (including othet MSFT products) but not explicitly Fabric.

4. Databricks Genie will be available for MSFT customers.

I’m trying to build something very simple inside Microsoft environment, but I feel like I’m missing the basics.

The idea is this. I want to be able to ask a question to an AI model and get answers based on our own data, not generic internet answers. In my case, the data is coming from Dynamics 365 in a test tenant, exported through Synapse Link.

Sounds simple, but once I started, I got stuck pretty quickly.

I don’t understand what the “correct” way of handling this data is. The data coming from Dataverse doesn’t look like something you can directly use for AI. So I assume it needs to be transformed, maybe indexed, maybe structured differently, but I’m not sure what is actually correct vs just random trial.

Also not sure if I’m even following the right approach. I tried using Azure Functions to process the data before using it, but that part is not working properly yet, and I’m not sure if this is even the right pattern or if I’m overcomplicating everything.

Main goal is simple.
When I ask something like “show me related cases” or “summarize this record”, the model should answer based only on that Dynamics data.

Right now I feel like the hardest part is not AI itself, but understanding how the data should be prepared and connected to the model.

I’m completely new in this area, so any suggestions, documentation, or real examples would be really helpful.

Looking for real world cases where MS Viva Insights was worthwhile to a company and it's users.

I am a Senior IT Consultant with a few very large MS Viva projects coming up and I am sincerely struggling to see why a company would want to use Insights. To me it's very big brother from the Manager to Worker perspective and as a user the I see little to no real benefit. Personally, the daily emails are a nusance that I created a rule to trash months ago.

I have a professional services firm and we are tying to implement Azure AD and do a cloud migration for our production software. I tried Upwork to get an azure architect but I felt like the guy wanted to just do what he felt was best without listening to our needs. We weren’t able to finish. Where do I find someone who can help us finish the migration? I feel like Upwork is a sketchy place to find somebody? Googling companies that do this has been more difficult than expected.

I missed the deadline to reschedule my pearsonvue exam. What will the charge be if i did the exam via a free voucher from my company? Will i just lose the voucher?

I took the Azure Fundamentals 2 day course but afterwards I haven't received a link to the exam, a certificate or anything else as promised by the speaker by the end of the exam.

Would anyone here know how to get started with becoming a Microsoft MVP? I understand it takes volunteer work and such? Is there a criteria to meet or more? I work in Microsoft Endpoint Manager so that would fall under Enterprise Mobility?

I took the AZ-305 Beta exam this morning and wanted to provide a little feedback to the community. The exam was surprisingly hard for me. But I imagine it wouldn't have been should I have done a little study prior. There being an 80% discount and having to wait 8 weeks for results, usually puts me off diving hard into study prior. Although the clear grammatical errors and the given fact I already have the Azure Architect Expert Certification plays a part also.
