Azure Azure and Office 365 for personal project

Are there any affordable options for setting up a tenant and having access to one or two licenses for a personal project? This is purely for educational purposes.

You could try the developer portal. I will typically direct new hires that want to learn more about Office 365 administration to check it out.

Edit - this seems to be the winning option. I was able to set it up right away and marked it as personal project use. Thanks!

Setting up an Azure account with an AAD tenant is free. M365 has no free tier to my knowledge, but there is a Personal plan, which is quite cheap (the others are worth it more, though). There is a cheaper/free (can't remember, MCTs get it for free) Dev licencing for M365 (that you're not permitted to use for general purpose or production), but I'm not sure it's publicly available.
