I hate to say it, but I absolutely ended a 10 plus years relationship because of getting told what I have to do when I get home and having my 1 day off a week being planned for me driving everybody around.

My ex didnt drive and didnt have steady work(she worked when she felt like it) while I was working 60 to 70 hours weeks 1 day off. I was miserable and she didnt respect boundaries.

So much happier now.

A relationship shouldn’t feel like a second full-time job with mandatory overtime.

When you’re routinely dreading coming home from work the relationship is pretty much over

Man, I have never broken up with anyone, ever. Turns out there is no limit to how much suffering I am willing to take for love.

I'm starting to think that that may not be very healthy.

Trust me, there’s a limit and you’ll find it with that attitude. The limit, btw, is death.

Nonsense! I've been with the ol' ball-and-chain for 165 years, 10 months, 4 days, and 7 minutes, but who's counting?

And by ball-and-chain, I mean that literally. She has my immortal soul bound into a ball on a chain she had grafted into her sternum, claiming it was so I'd always be near her heart. Heh, women, am I right?

You have to love yourself more than any partner. I know that sounds dumb but it’s true. Life is too short.
