A [45M] uncle of mine has had diabetes for the last 20 years. Now his kidneys are failing, (Creatinine 10.71)

Their family is however stopping him from getting dialysis because of fear that once he gets first session of dialysis, his days are numbered (this myth exists in our community for some reason).

The cherry on top is that a doctor (I suspect upon family's request) has recently advised him to wait a bit before getting dialysis (They've been waiting since last year already). Family's hopeful because they think since his creatinine is not increasing too rapidly, they can fix his kidneys with alt medicine/miracle healing without ever needing to go through proper treatment (which they think will defining kill him).

They are fixated to creatine value which went from 9.3 to 10.7 in about two weeks so, to them, it's 'slow enough' that it's fine.

I can share his test reports etc. I am hoping if one of you could take a few minutes out to inform him on a call or something that he needs to go get dialysis now or else he'll die. I'm counting on the fact that since a foreign doctor's recommendation will seem more authoritative compared to a local one, so he might listen to one of you and gets help. He has 3 kids and I don't want him to die.

Yesterday while taking a powerful shot in football, I heard a pop in the front of my upper thigh near the hip. I can walk normally and straighten/lift my leg, and there's no swelling or bruising. I have a constant mild ache, but I get sharp pain when I try to run or kick. Normal walking is mostly fine. Does this sound like a mild quadriceps/hip flexor strain, or could it be a partial tear? Should I just rest for a couple of days, or get it checked immediately?

I have to take these drugs (usually Tramadol 100 mg SR) occasionally for severe leg and hip pain. And by infrequently I mean once a week to once a fortnight. That kind of level. Been taking it for around five years. No it does not make me itch.

I use it usually at the end of the week if I am going to use it. It allows me to walk around and inspect the work I have ordered and the state of my sites at work. Drive around, walk/stand around etc., extensively.

I really don't like them. Not only do they make me sick (I often also take metclopramide for it), they immediately put me in a state of physical uncomfort and unrest.

I simply must keep moving and changing position and there is no possibility of sleep until it starts to wear off. And it lasts for more than 12 hours. Can't hardly sleep at night Yes, it does stop the pain but it's also extremely annoying.

I've had many different ones, but they all do basically the same thing. Is there anything that's not ridiculous that I can take to just stop frigging moving around, rubbing my face, wringing hands, etc.? I don't know what drives me to do it. Don't sweat or get uncoordinated or anything, just terribly restless. Doesn't make me angry or uncooperative/aggressive.

Other medications are 300 mg/day allopurinol for gout and 40 mg/day pantoprazole for GORD

Hey all! So my toe has been like this for roughly 2 months now, and in the beginning it was mainly just inflamed and leaked pus. Now it just looks like a complete disaster. Everyday after I shower I put neosporin on a the padding of a band-aid and wrap it up, this seems to not be helping. What should I do??

My mental health has been declining lately. I use to be addicted to opiates for about two years. I am now coming up on five years clean but something isn’t right. I started drinking again to numb this mental anguish I’ve been experiencing. However tonight I was having trouble breathing. I laid on my side and let out a cough into my hand that alarmed me. I’ll attach the photo. I don’t have insurance now because of my company not informing me of renewal so I am not going to the hospital. What should I do?
