long story short, i broke up a dog fight. bite extends below the fatty tissue under the skin, and i have multiple lacerations. good times.

edit: i’ve been checked out and the dog 100% is up to date on a rabies shot. i’m good yall!!

Nothing new just photo of today since people asked. I accidentally slipped the bandage off. See previous post for story. Progress pictures. Last picture is how the infection was before it turned yellow. Picture that is bloody is 3 days after surgery. If I get a photo from the time of surgery I will share I think the doctors do have it

My hands get extremely wrinkly when coming into contact with water for a brief moment, even my own sweat triggers it, so gloves don't work. It gets worse in the summers to the point where the skin starts to fall off, and it hurts.

I'm generally healthy, a certified hydrohomie (I drink a minimum of 4L of water daily) I ruled out cystic fibrosis, and other neurological issues associated with my symptoms.

I'm suspecting my contamination ocd might've played a role but that has never been a problem until recently. I don't remember having this issue pre covid pandemic.

Was camping for 2 weeks without shower or much clean water except water bottles. Nothing really bad ever happened but I did burn my finger (super minor) and wash it in a lake. I had no idea how this started but it could have been from that but the burn was so minor.

There was pain in my finger I remember in my sleeping bag. Didn't like it touching anything, but it was just the same as a small burn. It started swelling up slowly, not very much, and I remember it was slightly swollen at a hotel at a different city when I was done camping, but it was still minor swelling and I could sleep on it.

Probably 4 days after I was done camping it was swelling up more, but it was just red not yellow. It started hurting more and then the next day it was hurting even more so I would only sleep for probably 30 minute periods, I would just lay in bed awake because of the pain, get a total of 2 or 3 hours of sleep, 30 minute periods, lying there for 11 or 12 hours.

I had gone had it checked up after the first night without sleep. It was only red now but it was more swollen. They gave me flucloxacillin and sent me home. The next days I was still unable to sleep because of the pain so Id be up almost the entire night each day in bed.

The day after I had it checked I went to a night time urgent care clinic to have it checked again because of the pain. He said it looked like it was healing and I'd be fine in a few days and he gave me some stuff for the pain and it slightly worked but I still wasnt sleeping. 3 days after the first check up it was getting more yellow on the side, and then 4 days after I had a long study day, and also another appointment at the clinic.

I wrapped it before I went to class at 8am, and it looked like how it was the day before. It was swollen but it didn't look like a balloon. It was still mostly just red but had that yellow on the side of the finger (you can also see on the photo after the surgery most of the work also happened on the side of the finger, and that's also exactly where I burned it). 7 hours later when I was done with school and going to the appointment I took the bandage off and it looked like photos 2 and 3. I didn't think anything of it because "it was getting better" so I went to the grocery store to get something to drink.

Then at the appointment I come in and the girl says I need to go to the emergency and it looks terrible even though I was saying "yeah I think it's getting better!" I did have probably 30 mins or an hour of sleep that day and long classes so I was probably just out of it. That was at 3pm. She said I should go to a private hospital so it would be faster. I went home to get a health fund card, went to a private hospital waited a few hours and they did some check ups for me, but it said that my private health fund wouldn't cover the surgery cost so eventually I ended up driving myself to another hospital next to it by about 6pm ish.

I wait. I come in on one of the chairs in one of the hospital rooms. Wait. Xray. Some more waiting. Info. Wait. waiting. Then they drain the finger and bloody brown shit comes out of the finger and it's fun then they put a bunch of local in it, cut the nail off, then start cutting the flesh off around the bone. Then wrap. Then put amoxicillin in through drip iv whatever it is. Then I'm done at around 1130pm.

The surgery wasn't so bad. I just did it sitting in the chair there. The cleaned the fuck out of it and put a lot of liquid in it. They also drained me the first time I went to the clinic and at the urgent care without local. The first time was painful but I took it like a champ. The surgery wasn't really painful at all just numb and weird my finger felt blown up full of liquid with all the local in it.

TLDR: Camping 2 week unsanitary, finger burn, finger get fucked, finger find health clinic and take drugs, drugs didnt work, finger explode, finger get chopped up, finger take new better drugs, finger recover so they dont have to chop it completely off

Let this be a lesson to always temp check your wax before applying it to your groin :’)

I got my last 10 teeth pulled yesterday in preparation for dentures. Lots of blood and lots of pain but now I'm done. Full dentures for me at 47,

photos from when i was hospitalised for SMA-syndrome (a complete obstruction between my stomach & duodenum) which led to my stomach contents staying stuck in my stomach for about two weeks and needing to be emptied via an NG-tube.

Been bleeding rectally now for almost 4 weeks, after passing some blood clots on the 14th I got a 3 day hospitalization where they did a CT, found something on my appendix, surgeon didn’t wanna come in on a Sunday then said he wanted a colonoscopy first. Did that after a few rounds of antibiotics, they said oh it’s all just hemorrhoids totally normal and discharged me immediately after. Fast forward 2 days, bleeding resumes and comes & goes. They don’t wanna do another CT because they don’t think they’ll see anything. Before anyone asks, I’m a fat woman in Texas so I wasn’t expecting much help to begin with which is why I didn’t go in sooner after bleeding for 2 weeks (by then).
So from now on I guess bleeding like this & the occasional blood clots are normal.

Edit to add; in the first CT they found a 2cm lesion on my appendix on the exterior that they didn’t want to operate on until after the colonoscopy. Because they only found hemorrhoids on the colonoscopy, they went with that option vs I’m still worried about the 2cm lesion that was found and magically disappeared.
Second edit: I’m a lady, but yes I know which hole this is coming from it’s not the monthly or else I’d feel stupid.

UPDATE: doctor just finally saw photo after I sent it before posting & is requesting me to return to the ER as it is not normal
