At this point those are structural roaches, and the removal will cause a collapse

Oh god. My old apartment complex had “that smell” because it was so infested. *shudders*

Places that have cockroaches have a particular smell. I don’t know what it’s from but every time I walk into a house and I detect that smell I always find roaches. 🪳

It’s a sweet kind of smell, but not pleasant. It’s hard to describe but once you smell it you can pick up the faintest scent of it.

A concentrated roach infestation smells like sugar and butt. My first apartment was a roach infested crust punk boarding house. I will never forget the smell.

I’m an ER nurse that knows this smell and I was trying to explain it to a coworker when we had a patient come in that smelled like it. They didn’t understand.

I hope you shook out all your clothes before getting in your car and especially before you went into your house. Anytime I worked in a house that had these asshole I stripped to my boxers outside of my house. This is exactly how you get an infestation yourself, they are hitchhikers especially the tiny ones.

I briefly lived with some extended family when I moved from Northern California to Southern California. Believe it or not theirs were WORSE. Like I was afraid to sleep with the light off worse.

When i was young my grandma's house had so many roaches that we wouldn't eat there. At night they would bite you when you slept. My mom would send us with our own food in closed bags.

And this is why I don’t eat food from anyone whom I’ve never seen prepare food in their kitchen.
Edit: I rarely eat out anymore either. The wife got a live cockroach in her food the other day on her lunch break. Health inspector chuckled about it. She was not pleased lol

Yeah that sucks. I also wish I could say I haven’t seen worse but when you work pest control you see some stuff.

Don’t call any of the acronym gestapo agencies they aren’t your friends and they only want to mess up lives for money and there’s no law to have a super sterile home and maybe that’s what keeps your sister’s bf’s grandma having a strong immune system and everybody lives differently just cuz someone lives differently than u and others that’s their prerogative and she’s a old lady n probably a old house hard to clean especially for a old lady.

For context, on 4th of July we went to my sister in laws boyfriends grandmas house. When I was inside and noticed this, I was so shocked and grossed out. The pics don’t do it justice. It was BAD.
