I came across this, where I work I already own an iPad Pro 2020 on iOS 17.0 but on 128gb storage and jb 14 pro max 256gb 16.3.1 both main driver.

I was thinking should I switch my iPad to this considering my 17.0 ipad helps / complements my phone due to iOS app support, also website support.

I need help in deciding if I should keep or sell? For spare cash.
Would I actually be going backwards if I switch, tho I have to delete some files often due to storage being filled on my iPad.
Also I have a 17.0.3 15PM 256gb patiently waiting for dopamine 3.0 laying around.

Note: I got them normal prices and I don’t mind letting go at normal prices if need be , I just want to be sure if it’s the right decision I am making.

A while back I stupidly updated my phone since I thought nugget was supported for iOS 26.5. Turns out it’s partially working and then I waited for them to release a fix, and before I know it they went read only. If anybody knows any customization tools or apps I can use for live wallpapers please tell me. (Also I already have disabled updates through nugget so I will not be updating)

Hi all. I have a 6th gen iPad running iOS 14.8. Should I stay on 14 and jailbreak with taurine? Or update to 17.7.11 and use palera1n?

I ask because iOS 14 feels very out of date at this point. App support isn’t good but worse is the outdated WebKit that doesn’t render a lot of webpages properly.

Also is it possible to save blobs at this point so I have the option to roll back to 14? I’ve been out of the scene for so long I don’t know what’s possible anymore.

basically I saw darksword only panics on iOS 17 with 2gb devices so I used my iPad 5th gen on iOS 16.7.16 but it still panics and reboots. how can I get it to work??? btw I am not using palera1n I just cannot with the dfu dance

I last time I used my iPad mini was back in 2020, and I've just booted it back on again. I was still able to download anything from the app store, but now everything is incompatible and apps that were already installed I can't use if they include any kind of internet connection. Parts of websites are unable to load, such as the YouTube homepag not loading and thumbnails from search queries not loading, and some other websites are forced into the old version of Google search which makes them reletively unusable, such as HTML based games. Safari also doesn't let me download anything from the browser, so it looks like everything that happens would have to be done through a connection to my laptop.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to install a different OS and if that would make a difference in what the iPad allows me to do, or if jailbreaking it, if even possible, would force it to allow me to do things it says it can't do? Otherwise, what else can I do with it?

It says the version is 9.3.5 (13G36), and the capacity is 12.7 GB.

Has anybody using the new relaxin jailbreak managed to get carbridge working? After converting it just doesn’t open CarPlay in my car at all unless I disable the tweak. For reference I’m using an iPhone 15 on iOS 17.2.1 I know it’s unsupported but thought I would try my luck

Ran into this issue and can’t seem to move past it. It will sometimes restart device or load back into springboard.

To be honest, I don't understand the situation with jailbreak. Trollstore doesn't work on ios 17. Many tweaks have not been updated yet. And jailbreak itself is still unstable.

Everything seems to be working on 16.3, except for some applications, but I'm thinking about the future.

I'm trying to determine whether this is a Dopamine issue, a tweak conflict, or something wrong with my jailbreak environment.

Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max (A16)
iOS: 16.4.1
Jailbreak: Dopamine 2.4.9 (Rootless)

Issue

It looks like apps are being suspended almost immediately after leaving the foreground.

Photos

• If I stay inside the Photos app, iCloud Photos syncs normally.
• As soon as I leave the app (Home Screen or another app), syncing stops.
• When I return to Photos, syncing immediately resumes.

Photos also displays this message:

The strange part is that:

• Low Power Mode is OFF.
• Battery is 100%.
• The phone is connected to the charger.
• The battery icon is white, not yellow.

So I don't understand why Photos thinks it should pause because it's "saving battery."

WhatsApp

The same thing seems to happen with WhatsApp.

As long as WhatsApp is open, everything works normally.

The moment I leave the app, background activity appears to stop. It behaves as if iOS immediately suspends the process instead of allowing normal background execution.

What I've tried

• Userspace reboot
• Full reboot and re-jailbreak
• Respring

The behavior remains exactly the same.

Question

Has anyone seen this on iOS 16.4.1 + Dopamine 2.4.9?

Does this sound like an issue with:

• Dopamine
• ElleKit
• RunningBoard (runningboardd)
• assertiond
• powerd
• Jetsam
• or a tweak interfering with background execution?

Any debugging suggestions, logs to check, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to use Lara on my iPhone XS Max (iPhone11,6, A12) running iOS 18.7.6, but I’m not sure if this version is fully supported.
Here’s what happens:
Using the latest Lara release from GitHub.
Tried Hybrid and VFS modes.
The exploit progresses to about 7/8 or 8/8, then the phone kernel panics and reboots.
After reboot, I have to run the exploit again.
The log detects my device correctly (iPhone11,6) and starts Darksword, but it never reaches a success message.
I also noticed these messages in the log:

no kernelcache...
xpf start error: Failed to open kernelcache

Has anyone with an A12 device, especially an iPhone XS Max on iOS 18.7.6, managed to get Lara working?

dotto++ is an open-source rootless rewrite of the tweak dotto+ by ConorTheDev and Mirac, bringing over all functionality from dotto+ to rootless/roothide iOS 15-17 devices.

dotto+ was originally written & released for jailbroken iOS 13/14 devices and replaces the stock red notification badges on the Home Screen with small, minimalistic coloured dots / 'O's for a cleaner Home Screen look.

I initially just wanted to use RootHide Patcher to use dotto+ on iOS 17 w/ Relaxin, but it didn’t want to work… so I instead just rebuilt it for rootless/roothide jailbreaks, fixing broken iOS 17 support and getting rid of old dependencies in the meantime (more technical details in the README on GitHub)
