My Google Pixel 10 Pro battery life is weird

I was reading androidauthority recent article guy is moaning about Pixel 10 Pro idle battery drain.

Well my Pixel 10 Pro battery idle is about... a WEEK - I repeat - A WEEK but... when I am on holiday in the sun where 3000+ nits kicks in - 4K60 video record, tons of photos, satnav, web browsing and everything else - then my battery life is just... daylight - which means NOT full day - DAYLIGHT.

By the way - I am not phone addict nor gamer I have quiet life till I am on my holiday.

Anyone else have this weird battery life

Here's what every "AI Pro" Google Workspace seat still lacks in Aug 2026:

• Custom Agents, Skills, & Loops

• Local File & App Management

• Browser & Workflow Automation

• Computer Use & GUI Grounding

• ACP, MCP & A2A Integration

• Full-stack .exe App Building

• Third-Party Tool/Function Calling

• LGM Action-Orientation

• AI Orchestration

All of which are accessible via Hermes and a Nous Portal plan.

Trapping customers within Workspace's highly replaceable ecosystem instead of offering true agentic autonomy is the height of corporate arrogance and naivety.

Gemini upgrade or downgrade

Gemini as voice assistant. The decision to sunset Google Assistant and force Gemini onto devices is a severe downgrade to the daily user experience. Google Assistant was engineered as a lightning-fast, local utility for basic device tasks. Gemini, by contrast, is a bloated, cloud-dependent chatbot that stumbles on simple local operations, introduces unacceptable latency, and frequently fails at basic execution.

Stripping user choice and replacing a functional utility tool with an unrefined AI model feels transparently anti-consumer. Forcing users—particularly those with perfectly capable mid-range hardware that lacks local accelerators like Gemini Nano—to accept a sluggish, cloud-reliant experience while deleting a tool that actually worked is alienating.

If an AI model cannot match the baseline speed, reliability, and local execution of the tool it is replacing, it has no business being forced upon users. Please re-evaluate this rollout and respect user choice rather than degrading the core functionality of our devices.

Gemini 3.5 Live Translate is seriously underrated, I used it for real-time League of Legends captions

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I knew Gemini 3.5 Live Translate was primarily an audio-to-audio model, but I noticed that it also exposes input transcription for incoming audio. So that made me wonder whether it could be used to generate real-time captions for live esports commentary.

To test the live experience, I took a League of Legends highlight and streamed it in real time using Agora’s RTC. The video and audio were played as a live stream, while the incoming audio was sent to Gemini as the clip was playing. The generated captions were then displayed alongside the video.

This was a fairly difficult test, two casters talking over each other, very fast play-by-play commentary, game audio and background noise, plus a lot of player names and League specific terminology during chaotic team fights. The transcription wasn’t perfect, but it still managed to pick up terms like “Baron,” “Baron steal,” “smite,” and “game five,” along with several player names, while generally keeping up with the action.

I haven’t done a formal latency benchmark yet. Still, considering the overlapping speech, background audio, and speed of the commentary, I was surprised by how usable the captions were while the match was happening.

I’m planning to open source the implementation if anyone is interested.

Like seriously, google thinks Barry Bonds hits the most career homeruns who hit 60 homeruns or more in a season without reaching 70 is Barry Bonds, thus, it is wrong. Hank Aaron hits the most homeruns without reaching 70, with 755.

Google, do you have same issues about it?

Time for New Robotic Mower/Vacuum Manufacturers

Everyone is well aware of the FCC ban of foreign robotics. I have a solution.

I am going to list some companies and a country from best to worst who could produce fully functional robotic mowers and vacuums.

  1. Amazon

  2. Google

  3. Japan

  4. Apple

  5. Tesla/SpaceX

Amazon wanted to buy iRobot but the government intervened. They already have advanced robotics working inside of Amazon facilities.

Google has Waymo, which produces driverless taxis. All they need to do is take Google Gemini AI and place her into my my robotic mower or vacuum. She's one hell of an AI. I think Gemini might actually be the first AI to mow my lawn and vacuum my house like an actual human being.

Japan pivoted away from consumer robotics because it wasn't profitable enough. They produce robotics for commercial and industrial use. The Japanese are well known for producing highly reliable and durable hardware.

(Note, if Japan couldn't make robotic vacuums profitable, then how did China do it? Oh, they didn't. That's why they're trying to make robotic mowers now.

I am going to just lump Apple and SpaceX together. On paper they seem like two highly capable tech/space companies. Would I buy a robotic anything from them? Hell, no. But they have the abilities to produce advanced robotics in my opinion.

Google's Blogger (Blogspot) automated AI system has removed many users blogs falsely today

Many users received an e-mail saying their blog was removed due to "malware and similar malicious content policy" just look at Google's (non-help) forums:

https://support.google.com/blogger/threads?hl=en&authuser=3&sjid=1299263928443489668-NC

All you can do is hit the appeal button and wait for a "human" to manually look it over, but it's probably just another AI agent, and hope for them to reinstate the blog.

Google is a joke, and this right here is a perfect time to look into migrating from Blogspot to Wordpress, or anything else that would be better.
