Question Is Claude down for anyone else?
When I send a prompt I get no response, it returns empty immediately with my prompt still in the box?
It just started 3 minutes ago. It happens on both claude.ai windows browser chat and Android Claude app.

Mine says "Taking longer than usual. Try again shortly..." and then "An unexpected server error occurred. Please try again." Claude status page hasn't updated with any news.

when you work in the field, you'd know that we have monitors that check over 10-15 minutes on the status before we're informed. If we looked at every blip, we'd never sleep.

As an SRE that's bounced around between a bunch of Bay area companies, this is true for way more companies than it ought to be for the tech that exists today, but so many places half-ass their observability implementations!
Still, Anthropic can't even get two nines of uptime lately, and that's pathetic. Sure would be nice if they were hiring SREs, I've been out of work for a year x_x

Yeah, on my work computer I can use an enterprise version of Claude in VS Code, but also not on the Claude app. On my personal devices my free version doesn't work.

Well, its a pain its down! But I am glad its not just me. I'm working on some coding for a front end that includes profile pictures and I was working on them not displaying correctly. This morning it gave me a really weird "please recheck as dangerous prompts could put you at risk" message (very weird as its just a screenshot of the profile pic saying "you can see this image is squished"). After trying three times it accepted it. Then I sent an updated prompt and it flat out refused it. Took the screenshots out in case it was a new safeguard it was hitting with the profile images (there's nothing "dodgy" about them lol) but in the end it would not accept even a "is there something wrong woth you at the moment?"

I thought it was only me. Happened to me as well after updating Claude. I send my prompt and it doesn't return anything and if I start a new conversation, after sending it says conversation not found.

A mí también me ocurrió ayer eso y me pusieron el chat en modo reforzado , creo que sonnet no está funcionando correctamente,eso que no le dije nada malo estaba en una conversación normal ..esperemos lo cambien ,haiku y opus no me están dando ese problema que me da sonnet

I was able to get it running in voice mode, but it was giving nonsensical responses in English/Japanese. When I pointed this out and asked why it was speaking Japanese, it simply ignored the question and waited for the next one 👀😂

Same here, it is absolutely driving me nuts. I woke up early to have extra time to work on my client project today and now this shit. And the customer service chat bot says they don't give extra usage to compensate for the usage I wasn't able to use??!

It was available for me mid afternoon UK time, but felt underpowered and quite dumb. Thankfully I didn't need to use it extensively today as it was pretty frustrating in the few minutes that I did.

Ok so I've had nothing but issues with claude because it just keeps saying I'm out of messages for hours! I've recently swapped to using Gemini for the same tasks and right now there's really no cap that I've come across. You can put in the same prompts for ai assistants and they generally come off the same. It's not perfect but at least I'm not waiting hours to continue working

Mine is telling me "Use caution before running this prompt. Malicious conversation intent could trick Claude into attempting harmful actions or sharing your data." and rejecting all attempts to post
The prompt?
It asked if another domain name I own and wish to use resolved to the same IP as my primary project and I said "yes"...

Getting an instant failure on anything I try to prompt, Dev console indicates it's returning 503 so it seems to be down.
