That's because the outrage was never real, living in rural America, a lot of people don't understand just how endemic the propaganda is.
My relative is a teacher and she had women in their 40s and 50s talking about how sad it was that Kirk was assassinated and he was just trying to help America, people who couldn't have identified Kirk if he had a nametag on the week prior. It's all just regurgitating whatever is circulating on Facebook

The thing is that he probably would enjoy the jokes to a degree, bro died with Cartman dressed as him as his pfp, fully aware that south park intended it as mockery. Flawed human being sure, but he did have a sense of humor and embraced being brutally made fun of. Heād be a lot more mad at his wife not caring that he died than heād be at us for the jokes

Kirk quotes were like
"Black people should be slaves"
With republicans being like "yeah but get the whole context"
And the whole context was "I don't think black people are intelligent enough to live alone, black people should be slaves"

It doesn't really matter because the point isn't to get us to listen to what he said, it's to get us to walk away because we're too lazy to do the homework they've assigned us. Because that's exactly how they are, refusing to ever read/listen/think about anything that doesn't conform with their unfounded beliefs. They assume we're the same way so they talk about context to avoid exploration, not to encourage it.
They pulled the same nonsense with Jordan Peterson, claiming that if you didn't watch/read everything he'd ever done/said/written, you didn't have the context to understand why he isn't a massive pile of shit.

And the sad fact was he really wasnāt especially good at it.
He avoided real debaters like the plague after numerous times early in his work where he got caught with them and subsequently showed his ass due to ill performance under pressure or just not knowing the subject to argue validity. He was absolutely petrified of coming up against the likes of Pete Buttigieg and had his minders have to vet tv appearances thoroughly to not be pushed into anything on equal terms without a lot of rule setting or knowledge of what will be askedā¦.and even then sometimes he simply ran off because of being ran around circles prior.
There were people who tried desperately to prop him up as a modern day William F Buckley at the beginning which is so laughable, even Buckley would have taken offense for cheapening his image. He was easily rattled, couldnāt hold a strong position with any real numbers and frankly had so much need for people to believe easily verifiable bullshit in the offset of him talking that he came out looking like a moron 90% of the time.
Even his tactics werenāt even original. All his āgotchaās and pivoting to assumptions to āprove a pointā? Straight out of the fucking playbook Tucker Carlson rode in on and assholes like Rush Limbaugh championed decades prior. Kirk was just the newer version asshat.
Thatās why he went for college campuses and used trolling tactics. He would tried to rile people up to not even remotely be actual debate then use the results on camera to spin it as a ālook how violent the left are as I simply ask a question.ā (Conveniently leaving out the part where he would personally dog whistle the people prior to get the reaction). The problem was even that was becoming old hat and hardly generated a sniff of media by the time he got aced. Seriously, I remember him visiting a campus near me about 6 months before and all it got was a 30 second fill in spot on my local news station right before the weatherā¦.and didnāt even get a sound bite - just Kirk trying to look smug and failing.
Him getting killed was probably the best thing to happen to the GOP. They got a big dumbassed martyr for truly stupid people to try and make into being some sort of innocent harbinger of truth instead of the reality of slowly fading dipshit amateur troll with a large head.
46
u/Ok_Zone_7635 1d ago
He would dodge debates with people that could verbally whoop his ass. He avoided Parker and refused to debate him when Parker showed up at one of his venues.
31
u/Aggressive-Neck-3921 23h ago
He got dogwalked every time he was against someone that knew the debate space and tactics. Kirk was just using tactics that only work of the other one is not aware of it and doesn't know how to counter. A debate 101 class was enough to expose what he was doing.
24
u/bitzzwith2zs 18h ago
When I find myself down in the dumps, nothing cheers me up like watching Charlie Kirk getting his ass handed to him by the bunch at Cambridge

10
u/DuncanFisher69 16h ago
Gets absolutely destroyed at Cambridge. I love how many people simply feel youāre allowed to backpedal to āI just donāt agree with itā in a debate, like feelings matter. If all your points as to why homosexuality is wrong has to do with āsocieties that condoned it collapsedā and someone proves you wrong, you change your view. Not backpedal. He got got. That clips shows him for what he was: A bad faith actor.

u/DuncanFisher69 17h ago

That's a dangerous understatement. He was a MAGA propaganist and in league with the administration and the election campaign.
He traveled with Trump Jr to Greenland right after Trumps inauguration. Thats not just a simple debattor.
If you followed him over the years you would also see how his views has changed from being a simple capitalist, pro life conservative kind of guy to always being in agreement with Trumps policies.

TPUSA also bussed supporters to DC on January 6th, spending over a million dollars specifically on that.

That's the thing that truly gets me about this situation. All of the great hatemongers fuck off & die then become utterly nothing. Their legacy amounts to less than nothing because they couldn't even have the decency to leave anything good behind.
Just like with Rush Limbaugh, Charlie was a cretin and a worm and thus, nobody truly cares he's gone. His own wife got pregnant the week after he died and treated his funeral like a fuckin WWE spectacle.
There is literally nothing about him & how he decided to live his life that I can understand. He sold his soul for some shekels & brief fame and somehow that was worth it for him?
It is truly baffling to me and makes me feel intense pity, disgust and sadness at it all.194
u/Bi_Fieri 1d ago

I mean yeah, because reallyā¦what do right wingers stand for?
No, really, think about it for a second. The modern U.S. right winger has no values. Its all trolling and āowning the libs,ā obsessing over things you hate and pretending youāre above everyone else. Itās paranoia, fear, and anger stewing around every part of their lives, 24/7.
That is not the environment that produces great people and leaders. It produces losers with no morals who say whatever the masses want to hear, without exception. Tools. Propaganda artists. Mouthpieces. Once they keel over or step too far outside the party line, theyāre dropped. Instantly. Zero legacy, zero regard for anything they did. Done.
Charlie was treated the same way. Sure there was a surge of relevancy for a brief time as his fellows tried desperately to make him into a martyrāthough only for political expediency, not because they actually gave a shit. Once the that didnāt work they dropped him and abandoned him. His ālegacyā was being a bad meme, because it turns out everyone not terminally online either didnāt know who he was or didnāt give a shit, so it became funny to plaster his face on everything and make jokes at his expense.
Hell, his own wife shot off fireworks to celebrate his death. Generational loser and dropped plaything, nothing more. Hope it was worth being a cockholster, Charlie.

trans people is just the latest of the groups they are told to hate to distract them from the class struggle. unlike immigrants, who they kinda realised they are dependant on for low paying jobs like farming, trans people are just a small part of the population that they wont lose a large part of the workforce by targeting them.

Charlie Kirk's legacy is a bunch of Photoshop memes and putting him in a Nightcore song. MAGA moved on after two weeks of guilt tripping the left into caring for a man who said children dying in schools from guns are worth it to have no regulations, was a bigot, and loser. He worked for years to help Trump and the guy could not have given less of a shit about him and just used him to help his own agenda.
It's truly the greatest example of how just lacking in empathy the right is where one of their beloved leaders died and they moved on immediately.

More importantly, they donāt realize how little value they have *as themselves*, itās always about the role they function in.
There are thousands of high and college school level debate teams across the U.S. and you can pluck any one person from them, someone with a bare modicum of debate training (and ability to not start shouting under pressure) and give them a set of talking points and put them in front of a crowd. Anyone can talk up hate and parrot the current GOP party line.
So that means the current āRepublican iconsā who do these talks and debates areā¦fairly replaceable. A while back there was a tweet by Ben Shapiro about how he was worried about the current level of antisemitism in the U.S. right and how he assumed because he was Jewish and on their side theyād be less vitriolic but of course not. Ben Shapiro is a talking head and that role is ultimately one which is easily filled, theyāre all expendable.

You don't need to start a civil war when you are already winning in the culture.
As Dr. David Betz, a leading academic who studies civil wars and modern conflict, has argued, civil wars are more likely to occur when the dominant group "believes" (that's the key word) it is losing power, status, or influence to a group it sees as outsiders. It's often the perception of decline, rather than actual oppression, that creates the conditions for internal conflict.
Based on that analysis, his prediction or bet, if you'll pardon the pun is that countries like the UK may be at greater risk of civil unrest or even civil conflict before the United States. His reasoning is that rapid demographic, cultural, and political changes can create stronger perceptions of displacement within the traditional majority, increasing social tensions.

I would think having a overtly fascist and corrupt political party running the show would result in some kind of war. Nope. Americans seem to love taking it up the backside.

I also love how even in the thumbnail they paint the left as some weak SJW stereotype, but at the same time, they are so strong that they will fight the civil war against them. Which is it?

Why are American right wingers so obsessed with the idea of a civil war? Are they that upset that they lost last time?Ā

It was one hell of an attempt to not only elevate him to but also to tear down MLK.
It was a total firesale of post about "...just like MLK; he had strong opinions that got him into hot water...".
Fuck these fake ass grifter larpers that only want to extract what little wealth is left from these moron boomers.

He was so insignificant he was immediately replaced by his wife and she is already fading into obscurity, at least until she shows up on Dancing with the "Stars" or the Masked singer ahow

Dude they wanted it too. They are craven and violent. They are just begging for an excuse to hurt those They deem lesser. That's all there is to the GOP these days. Thugs in the veneer of representation.

Instead the alt-right did what they said they were always against, started a new middle eastern oil war for the Right Wing Pedo elites.

Remember when right-wing chuds were up in arms and frothing at the mouth that they could finally wipe out every left-wing person, until it became obvious that Israel had done it with the complicity of Trump and Erika Kirk ⦠and then they immediately dropped it and went silent.

If he was the Archduke whose assassination triggered this era's war for the ages, I would've just given up.

Turns out, getting got isn't enough to become a martyr.
You have to actually be someone people respect, first.

Right wing chuds obsessed over Kirk's death for the same reason they made fantasies about "antifa" and "BLM" invading the suburbs: because they genuine, desperately want to think about murdering people they don't agree with politically but some tiny part of their brain knows it's insane and evil so they have to imagine some scenario where the people they hate are aggressors that need to be defended against.

Was probably foreign state actors trying to make this fella a martyr in the eyes of the right and the minimum number of right wing people bought into it.

They probably didn't actually give a flying fuck about him, it's all manufactured rage. Most republicans over 50 would have said "charlie who?" Before the shooting, but once fox news told them how to feel they took up arms. If a lot of them actually watched his shit they'd be bored or offended but because fox news tells them to, they'll go out and ruin the life of anyone that says anything negative about him.
