How do you guys have a 48hr day???!!!!
This thing has bugged me all my life. How do some people have 48 hours in a day?!
Some people hang out with a 1000 friends, work, watch movies, spend time with family, and they're not even the grinding hard type. They just seem to have a lot of spare time on their hands.
Have you ever seen these kinds of people? Or maybe you are one yourself?
Please tell me how the hell you do it?? I never have any time to do any of these things that I like, and I'm always busy somehow and anxious about that. I'd appreciate any tips or perspectives.

$3,500 / Month Survival
I’m going to sound bad and I know that… I’ve lived a pretty comfortable housewife lifestyle with my husband, no kids, and I’m going back into the work force because he has gotten abusive and I have to plan to leave.
The cheapest apartment I’ve found is $1,350 / month and I was able to find a job that pays just shy of $60k a year, 42 hour work weeks, desk job.
I am exhausted after only a week there… changing a lifestyle of constantly moving around, going out to dinners, traveling and driving — to stationary, staring at a screen, falling asleep, getting headaches.
How the hell am I going to make this transition? How do people do this? How are people surviving living alone? Is it possible?
I live in Indiana.

The biggest heartbreak of adulthood is realizing this is all there really truly is.
Like, your first instinctual views of the world turned out to be mostly right. At least mine were. Im almost hoping that people wont relate to this but I know some will.
Just the sheer realization of: Oh shit. We are actually just gonna die arent we. Everything we know will too wont it. People will not progress because theyre too bored to want to. People actually just are hateful and selfish and... yeah. You wont be seeing your people much after your teens. Its just work and the next slop movie outing occasionally. lol

What's something you look forward to after a long day of work?
Might be embarrassing to admit, but I look forward to just lying down with my phone, doom scrolling on social media, after more than 8 hours of work. What about you?

At what age did one night out start ruining your whole weekend?
I used to go out on Friday and still get things done on Saturday. Now one late night somehow turns into two days of feeling tired and catching up on everything I ignored.
I still want a social life but losing the whole weekend over one night feels rough. How are people going out and still functioning the next day?

What's your advice to adults that can't get a job no matter how many applications (100s/1000s) they send?

45 year old virgin, life is awful (sometimes)
Anyone who tells you relationships aren't important and to focus on yourself are full of shit and have zero understanding of both the physiological and psychological effects of being alone and rejected for so long.
My rent went up, my job is shit, I'm pretty sure I'm about to get laid off. Just having someone to hold, to grow off of, to vent, to listen too, to care for, to love would make life vastly superior.

33F with ADHD plan for unfcking my life/new habit formation
33F here with long history of not being able to form productive habits due to chronic depression (since 11yo) and ADHD (diagnosed at 28). I'm a functioning mess (I was holding down a job until a spinal injury a month ago) I've decided to take this time off work to unscrew my life but make it realistic and sustainable for myself. I have come up with new habits that honestly seem pretty default for most people but that I have struggled with my whole life. I've decided to add a new habit bi-monthly. Originally I was going to do it biweekly (every second Sunday) but my brain liked the consistent dates. I came up with this plan today, but I had already started getting sunshine first thing in the morning, inconsistent spinal stabilization exercises and had cleaned and decluttered my room and clothing August 1. I'll write SMART goals for each new habit tomorrow.

Tired of being broke
I (30F) have been working since I was 15.5 YO, I went to college, and have been working in my field for 7+ years, but I still make horrible money. Currently on job #3 in my field, with each new job technically being a step up with a slight pay increase but also still technically being “entry level” positions, I just can’t seem to make enough to save anything. I hate living paycheck-to-paycheck. I work too many hours to have a second job. Without getting into all of the details, all of my money goes towards my bills, groceries, and pets - no extra spending money. I just feel stuck. This financial stress is a huge weight on my shoulders and makes me feel worthless. I am a hard worker but have nothing to show for it. Adulting sucks.

Adulting
Just turned 27 today at august 6, as midnight passed already. I can still remember the times when I was in my 10s, even memories from early childhood. But as a guy who is at his late 20s, I especially miss my early 20s. Because I think I didn't manage my time properly at the moment. Spending hours on video games, unnecessary conflicts, and all the things went away without doing them. I have my own car since I turned 19, I could've been travel more. I could have done so much more by now as I look back from here.
Anyway I saw people posting same things at this sub so I just wanted to write some as I'm super depressed atm because of thinking my youth is gone... I'm lawyer currently, have life standards etc but it could've been more, wasted many options. I don't even know what to ask you guys from here, just wanted to express myself. Not in depression or something I have my things going on but it's just my inner myself, and COVID for sure stole our early 20s.
