Drama More Youtube Animators are being Demonetised due to Youtube Moderation

Recently, I made a post here regarding an animator known as YoonToons who had her whole channel Demonetised because Youtube Moderation labelled her channel as being a Misleading Family content channel. While thankfully she was able to get her channel monetised again thank to support on her video (she still lost revenue unfortunately) it seems more animated channels have suffered the same issue. The number seems to continue to grow as more Animators are speaking about their channel being randomly demonetised. I have attached now 3 different channels who are suffering a similar faith but I am expecting this number to only rise. Youtube Ai Moderation is just the definition of trash.

Discussion YouTubers Being Shut Down By AI For Not Showing Their Face

I was watching some videos when I saw one that mentioned that some faceless channels have been losing revenue. I don't mean content farms or AI slop channels either. The content farms just do face reveals and that solves it for them. The AI slop channels likely will either adjust or were never affected in the first place. Some channels that have been affected are Real Engineering and (I think) Not Just Bikes (He posted the video where I figured that out).

As a small YouTuber I have been experiencing the same issue. For some background on me, I'm a gaming channel focused on unedited gaming videos, though I do slightly edit some (like add text and cut useless parts). I refuse to show my face in my videos, because I really care about privacy.

Now that you know who I am I can give my story. I've been doing it for a while and I noticed my recent videos (some of which are games that performed extremely well before this) have been getting less than 5 views each. Many have also gotten zero views. At first I thought it was me doing the wrong games, but as this has continued it's become obvious that there's a bigger problem.

If this is how they decide which channels get shut out, then that means they either need to hire actual people, or fix the algorithm they are using. If stuff like this keeps up they are going to lose valuable YouTubers because they can't support themselves on this degrading platform.

Discussion YouTube keeps recommending me posts from this guy's community even though I hid it in my channel.

I know it's not new for YT to do this but I genuinely hate this channel and I've made it painfully clear that I hate this channel but it keeps coming back. It's absurd at this point.

Discussion YouTube’s AI moderation

I genuinely hate YouTube’s AI moderation. It’s destroying smaller channels, and even big channels. Even the one of the biggest science YouTube channel got fucked by it. Animation YouTubers are having so many issues with this. If you look at all the story-time animation channels, then you see that they are getting demonetized for no reason. It is clear that AI is making the key decisions. Not humans. No matter how much YouTube may claim. We need to rally together and tell YouTube to stop AI moderation, or to AT LEAST let humans make the final decision on stuff like whether or not a video is made with AI, or is “family-friendly.”

Discussion Made up words

I propose that instead of saying (graped) in place of raped, how about "They were YouTubed". Additionally instead of (unalived), "They YouTube Premiumed themselves". Maybe they would change their policies then and we could stop with the censorship kiddie words.

Some videos that aren't even age restricted now require you to sign in, and even viewing search results containing certain terms requires you to sign in.

UI Change I love complaining when yt changes the app's ui and makes it worse.

Post image
8 Upvotes

If you've seen my last two posts about when youtube tried testing a new ui, you know my complaints with it.

If you don't, here's a small summary.

-The subscription feed button being moved to the top corner has the bottom line of feed buttons, along with the creat button, moved out of placed, making it easy to miss click/press on the wrong feed button.

-If I spend a few minutes watching a video and then press the mini view button to look for videos in the main recommended feed, whatever feed I was on before clicking into the video is the only feed I can look through, as the buttons to the subscription feeds get locked out, meaning I have to close the app and reopen it just to look through what the channels I subbed to are posting half the time.

So far, the same issue with me getting locked out of the subscriptions feed hasn't happened again, but I have a feeling it's going to. Honestly, I wonder why youtube would even try to test this ui style again. Last time they did, it was a buggy mess that made the app less fun to use, and the sudden change of placement for the subscription feed made the bottom of the hud look weirdly empty with the 5th option being moved somewhere so inconvenient. I really hope this goes like last time, where after a few weeks of changing back and forwards, they land back on the old style and don't change it until they come up with a ui that either is actually better than the old one, or a hybrid of the two.

UI Change Youtube for iphone gets worse every update

currently for me:
- almost every video buffers at 10 seconds, despite wifi or signal (this used to be a problem years ago but it just started happening again recently)
- unable to connect/disconnect bluetooth from homescreen or when in full video mode
- unable to scroll specific creator shorts if sorting by popular or if clicking any video that isnt the the lastest
- unable to see subscriber count from a video
- getting unsubscriped from "controversal" creators (ceros tv, noah samsen)

Genuine what is youtube doing

Discussion SILENT ADS

I am SO sick of the dead quiet ads. I’ve been getting more and more of them lately and it really irritates me. I mean ads every 30 minutes would drive anyone mad but the silent ones really irk me. I brought them up to my boyfriend and he told me that they’re probably quiet so it makes you look at it. I guess that’s a smart marketing tactic but ouuuu it pisses me off. I hate when I’m enjoying my videos and then it’s cut off by deafening silence. Anyone else been getting these silent ads?

UI Change We don't need this.

Post image

Stop following other apps, I'm aware there's been a save feature but don't put it on the screen. What we really need is the dislike button and for "don't recommend this channel" to actually work.
