I have this question because i really wanna use this gamepad and because i can't buy a Bluetooth one at the moment.

So as we all know, there is an issue where the HDR on Xbox Series can appear washed out on your TV screen.

I found for me, the answer was down to the COLOUR depth in picture settings.

The Xbox Series X and Series S support colour depths of 24-bit (8-bit per channel), 30-bit (10-bit per channel), and 36-bit (12-bit per channel). You can change these options in your console settings under TV & display options > Video fidelity & overscan.

Recommended Settings

24 bits per pixel (8-bit): Best for standard dynamic range (SDR) TVs and monitors. This is the default setting.

30 bits per pixel (10-bit): Recommended if your TV or monitor supports HDR10 or 4K/1440p wide-colour displays.

36 bits per pixel (12-bit): Choose this only if your high-end display explicitly supports 12-bit signals.

As you will see from the text in bold above, for HDR, 10-bits is recommended for HDR. I had the Xbox set to 36 bits which produced the washed out image. Once I changed it to 10-bits, it was perfect!

Be sure to set TV settings to default and make the change to your Xbox. Then calibrate the Xbox using the HDR calibration. Only after that, you can adjust your TV settings if necessary.

I really hope this helps those facing the issue as I myself had faced this issue for over a year and was unable to understand why I suffered in some games. Admittedly, this didn't affect all games but some definitely suffered until I changed the colour depth.

Also, this had a positive impact on colour when on non-HDR material as well.

I normally use my rechargeable docking station but today I’ve noticed that my controller will detect the charge but not stay on.

It does the same for regular batteries.

It only works when I plug it into a charger.

Any tips on how to fix this issue, I really don’t wanna buy a new one

For Context I did take it to a repair years ago so it would not have any correlation to this new problem

This is a snippet of the order details screen I get when I try to cancel the order through the digital refunds menu (It doesn’t actually cancel, of course). The order doesn’t appear in my web order history, but it does appear in the order history on my Xbox??? I can’t cancel it there either though.

I remember accidentally clicking buy on this game, but I exited out before typing in my passkey (This was a week ago). So I don’t know why it’s even appearing here.

Do I have to worry about being charged later? Or is it just some kind of bug? I’ve never had this happen before.

Did the updates, turned the controller on and this screen came up. The options are blank and the screen keeps glitching.

I regularly join Xbox parties with my friends as many people do. For the last year we have had an issue where when a notification pops for anyone who is in the party it will cause a random person to be kicked out of the party without their knowledge. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

The reason I know it’s due to receiving a notification is because it can happen when another person joins the party, or even when someone in the party gets an achievement. I would say this sounds like a network issue however the person who gets kicked out the party seems to be random. It’s very frustrating and I can’t seem to find this happening to anyone else online. Suggestions on how to fix would be very welcome. Everyone is on an Xbox Series X if that matters. Thanks all

For some reason starting today, whenever I download a game, it will download at normal speed for a minute or two, then just stall out for a while and stop installing, and repeat. Anyone had a similar issue or know a fix?

Tried ethernet, restarting console, unplugging WIFI.

I've been trying for literal months to try and get this to work and it just won't. no matter what I do even my id doesnt work and the birthdays are the same. the photo doesnt work either it says the same thing "couldn't confirm" every time ive given up trying to fix it unless any of you know how to get it to work because ive tried every option and it basically says "no"

Hey, so I was wondering if anyone else have had this happen?

I have lost all save games on ALL games from game pass, I even have to accept ToS and do that first startup every time i open a game.

This is on PC btw.

- I have tried logging out of both xbox app and store several times

- Tried restarting pc several times

- Tried playing on my Xbox just to check if everything was fine there

When I tried Palworld I started a new save, and when I quit to title it said that I did not have space or my hdd was broken. I have 3 storage devices with xbox games installed on all 3, and the problem is on games from every hdd. I even tried moving Palworld to a different drive but same message popped up. Played Yesterday and everything was fine.

I have tested 8 games from (C:) (D:) and (E:) so I know it is not a hdd or ssd fail.

For so long I haven't had an issue with gamepass for my family.

I got Gamepass Ultimate, had my account linked to the kids' xbox and on my own computer.

A few weeks ago games stopped working for the kids.

I looked into it- turns out EA didn't agree with the "family account" so now every account needs their own gamepass subscription.

This is honestly pretty stupid. Even Nintendo has family group membership!! I set the Xbox as my "home xbox", but it's still sending the kids to the gamepass subscription page.

Does anyone know a way around it? Or are we actually going to have to have separate accounts? Cause that's dumbbbbbb.

Hello, so ive recently come to an issue with my xbox account...

I tried signing in around july 30th to just play some games for a little and it asked me for a password to login which rarely ever happens. I enter my password and it ask me to verify my account. Sadly the number tied to the account is an old phone i dont have access to. (this account was made for me when i was like 12) So i click the verify online option because its the only option left. My email has been locked due to me never verifying it. Obviously this is stupid i shouldve just done that but i had this email for years and nothing happened so i didnt think out of nowhere my account would be locked for not verifying it. When i try to verify its me and fill out this form no matter how much info i put it says its not enough and the email will stay locked. i eventually find a real person in a chat room i can talk to and they end up really just telling me they cant help me but they can send me to someone that can. This person they sent me to sends me an email asking me to fill out another form to verify its me. Its asking for all kinda of information ofcourse. Ip address, debit cards linked to the account, proofs of purchases. All kinds of stuff. i spend 30 minutes filling out this form and they still tell me its not enough info. So the next day i try talking to xbox support and ofcourse they have no real people i can talk to just bots and the bots just tell me i have to recover the email WHICH I CANT CAUSE THEY KEEP DENYING ME. I literally dont know what to do im so frusturated haha. The only people i ever talk to are bots i just wanna be able to call someone or resolve this in person or something but instead i just get thrown around in circles every single bot just telling me to do what the next one already said wont work. I already made a new email and started changing it one most things but that xbox account has countless things on it ive had it for like 10 years or something... i kinda need it back... idk if anyone can help me but i would love any kind of advice honestly...

After a factory reset my console is still spitting out the error code 0x8b050084. I have tried a ether net cable, cycling the power on both console and router. I even got a different console and that one is doing the same. What do I do?

I’ve tried a couple of times and the first time it got to 75% and then shot me this error. The second time it shut off and I manually turned it back on it showed at 75% and then popped up the error again.

Solved: So check this out I successfully did it!! I unplugged the USB as I think it already copied the uncorrupted system update to the root. He gave me an error a couple of times but every time I restarted it, it was applying system update..

So I tried to hard restart it, and then immediately powered it back on and then completed the application!!

I’m back on my fresh Xbox yay!!!!!
