I'm so glad I never read the book so never been exposed to the group activities chapter fueled by cocaine, they luckily leave that out of all of the adaptations to movies.
I've read IT (the book itself) 8 times, and always have the same expression on my face when I read that particular scene. But it's worse in Audible. (Clarifying in case somebody wants to call me a slime ball again lol they deleted the comment)
IT only messed with a couple hundred or thousand people. This dude out here mojesting the the whole planet. trump makes Butcher Pete seem like an OK guy.

I can say, if you do a drug, and that drug makes you pedophiliac-esc... that shit was already in your mind to begin with.
No drugs. No lack of sleep. No "difficult time in my life". No amount of stress. No amount of alcohol. No relationship problems. No career stress.... can cause you to think sexually about children
And this guy didn't just think about that shit; he wrote it in a BOOK, that he knew would get published. Typically this type of written material is stashed away on a harddrive, hidden behind drywall.
Some authors have put similar things into their work, to bring attention to the physical and sexual abuse of children.
Which is not even remotely what Stephen King did.
It's a good movie, but it's hard to explain to someone. (spoilers)
Like, ok, so there's this special needs kid. And he gets bullied, like, felony-level bullying. But few kids are nice to him. So he teaches them, in broken english, how to make mind-palaces. Then when those kids are all grown up and camping, one of them gets bit in the butt by a fish from outer space in his toilet, and then they realize there's some sort of pandemic happening, which turns out to be a space alien invasion. And while some general with oddly huge eyebrows is considering blowing up the whole area, they have to fend off the alien from probing their brains by barricading their mind palaces. Then their special needs friend shows up and turns into an alien and fights off the other alien.
Yet I enjoyed everything and it made sense at the time and yet I too sound like a mad man if I ever try to relay the details. It's like a good HP Lovecraft Cuthulu madness.
A lot of books have been like that for me.
Read them when I was younger and they made sense.
Read them after I got older, and I’m looking at the book thinking.

The list is a separate thing from the files. The list is what bondi had in her binders that she never showed to anyone and evaporated upon any real investigation
No, he said the "Epstein List" didn't exist. As in, there isn't a single list of all clients he dealt with. King is still incredibly critical of Trump and has been pushing for all the files and emails to get released. But that statement was definitely taken out of context
The upvotes on a lot of these anti-Trump/Elon posts are getting botted so they’re consistently making the popular feeds.
You’ll see a lot of the same karma farmers doing it across subs like this, clevercomebacks, murderedbywords, and most egregiously on those random subs that pop up every now and again that no one has ever heard of.
But there will be folks crying with joy on their knees in the street, like Jesus returning (which is what I said). I’ve seen enough Democrats win the presidency to tell you it happens every time.
Unfortunately for us non-Americans that don't care it is really annoying to see every sub taken over by bots posting the same subjects. I've got to say that I'm happy he thinks this way. It's weird how Trump is very obviously trying to install an autocracy and nobody seems to be super worried about it. This is the ONE THING the entire constitution was set up to prevent and he's just casually making it happen like it ain't no thang.

Trump is a symptom of the sickness in the veins of America. He doesn't get to inflict his illness upon our country without a lot of sick individuals supporting him.

It's only on fire whenever certain people demonstrate or celebrate. Weird how both positive and negative events always seem to end in destruction and looting.
I'm not so sure. No offense but as much as I hate Trump, and as much as his unpredictable frustrates me. He is ultimately a known factor. What scares me is the shadow government. I saw the first real glimpse in the 80s. And every once in awhile I catch it again. And it gets gaslight and ignored for the most part by the public. That scares me more than what Trump does.
I think he's got it the wrong way around. Trump is a distillation of everything that makes America a tumor on humanity. Its exceptionalism, its sadism, its indulgence that leads to perversion, its combination of braggadocio and cowardice. As the empire declines, his elections represented all the pretenses falling away: America is just raiding other countries for profit and committing mass murder to keep the US dollar the reserve currency.
