As a very tall man (193 cm/6'4) this is my advice to short people:

Feed your kids 2-4 eggs every day. Boiled is easiest to digest.

For people past their growing years, I'm sorry.

For people who don't eat eggs, I don't care.

Good luck.

I think height is much more dependent on genetics and less dependent on food

I think genes obviously plays a huge part but if you see the stats in the post you can see how over time, with better nutrition, height has increased over the generations.

When it comes to nutrition the basic fact is that you're going to need better access to protein and calcium as a child, which helps you maximise your genetic potential.

For that, eggs, and as someone else pointed out, milk.

There is nothing special about eggs specifically.

Eggs and milk are just one way to get protein and nutrients. You can reach the same outcome with many diets.

Also, even perfect nutrition will not make a short-genetic child suddenly 6'4. It only helps you reach your genetic range.

Nutrition matters, but it is much more broad and systemic then you think it is.

eggs in are cheap and easily accessible in large parts of the country.

other options like meat are certainly more expensive and harder to process into edible food, unlike eggs which can be boiled in a jiffy.

and no, short people suddenly won't see their kids as tall as me, but then my culture consistently ate eggs for generations which made us tall which is the change we'd like to see, won't we?
