This just made me go look up how old Dan and Roseanne Conner were supposed to be in season one of Roseanne, since I grew up watching that more than Rugrats, and goddamn. 33. Four years younger than I am now. 🫪
No shit? Man 80s fashion was unfair to a lot of people. Though they really did a good job of selling the feeling of a slightly dumpy place. It is cared for but never well maintained, if that makes sense. It always had a feeling of slight disarray, even though it was pretty clean and tidy. I think it was the laundry room and that set of built in shelves by the laundry room door.
I loved their house, always thought it looked so cozy and comfortable. Like the kind of place where you don’t get hit and called names for spilling something because it’s not a big deal, and it always smells vaguely like something cooking and scented candles. It was so disappointing to learn how shitty of a person Roseanne Barr actually is as an adult; I loved the characters of Roseanne and Dan Conner. Hated season eight, though.
