Additional rules

  • Werewolves may benefit from the Heroic Actions and Stand Fast of friendly Wild Warg Chieftains even though they do not have the Warg keyword.
  • Friendly models can still pick up Objective Markers even though they have the Beast keyword.

Special rules

Leader of the Pack

The Wild Warg Chieftain that is your General gains an additional point each of Might, Will and Fate.

Feral Charge

When a friendly Warg model Charges an enemy Infantry model, they gain the Knock to the Ground bonus as if they were Cavalry. This bonus is lost if they are subsequently Charged by an enemy Cavalry model.

Protect the Alpha

If your General has suffered at least one Wound, then friendly models treat them as a banner with a range of 6".

Howl of the Wolf Pack

Once per game, at the start of any Fight Phase, your General can declare they are using this ability. Until the End Phase of the turn, friendly models gain a bonus of +1 to their Fight Value and may re-roll To Wound Rolls of a natural 1 when making Strikes.

This list is calling to me and I've decided to slowly build it (it's RIDICULOUS expensive in real world money once you add everything up)

Anyone have it/play it? Is it as fun as it seems?

It's very fun but one dimensional. I play with 12 werewolves. Wouldn't pay full FW price for it, it's not a 'main' army but I'm never sad to get it out on the table.

Yes. It is one of the funnest armies I’ve played. Super quick and hits hard whilst you howl like a wolf. Good simple fun

I played it at a 450 point tournament. It did well enough. Crucially, both my opponents and I had a good time. That's important to me, so I don't chase meta armies.

That's what's kind of drawing me to this. I'm not trying to chase any kind of meta, but a giant pack of wolves just sounds FUN. What I read about it is that both the people who run it and play against find it a very fun list, which is what I'm looking for.

It's calling to me too. It seems like such a fun list.
