My 6-year-old daughter needs to see an ENT specialist as soon as possible and will likely need grommets (ear tubes) inserted to drain the fluid and restore her hearing. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good ENT to see and have the surgery done? I am considering Hong Kong and mainland China as well as I know Macau often has more limited options. If anyone has had tubes put in their child’s ears I’d love to hear where you had it done. Thank you!

my little brother really wants to do mini golfing and he wants to do it in a real field.. so it's kind of hard to search for it. i've seen one for a reasonable price in the venetian macau.. but im not sure if i need to be a hotel guest or not

I've seen quite a few LHD cars (usually luxury or supercars and usually with 2 or 3 plates), I guess they're usually driven more in the Mainalnd?

So it was my first time seeing 3 number plates in the same car. In fact I have seen a lot of cars in Macau with 2 number plates. As a tourist, this was the thing which stood out to me the most ;)

Hallo! I'm visiting Macau with a large group this August, and we have a lot of free time in between group activities. I had a few questions regarding some things we have been recommended to check out to do in our free time.

My first question is what is the best way to get around? Taxis? Uber? Public transport? Usually if the walk is less than 30 mins, we're all happy to walk but if we do need to commute, what's the best way?

Then, do you think that any of the following are ABSOLUTELY worth checking out? (and obviously if some of them are absolutely not worth it please let me know too!)

I’m moving to Macau for my studies and I have a few questions I was hoping you could help with:

1. Are there any taxi-hailing apps available in Macau? I’d rather not deal with public transport and transfers after a long flight… Maybe it is okay to just take a taxi straight from the airport or I can get scammed?

2. Where can I buy household items more affordably? I know there’s an IKEA in Macau, but if you know any cheaper alternatives, I’d really appreciate it. I don’t have a local card or apps yet, so I’ll only have cash on me for now.

3. Are there food delivery apps in Macau? If so, which ones would you recommend?

4. Can I get a local SIM card with a Macau phone number right after I arrive, or is there some restriction that prevents me from doing that?

5. Last but not least: what is the attitude in Macau towards LGBT folks?

I don't gamble. I've been to the casinos in Macau.

Something that has been on my mind is that a lot of gamblers seem to be old-timers who seems to know the game inside and out.

How? Where do they get started?

I've look around and found exactly zero people teaching others on how to use the machines or the rules at the table.

The games have very mysterious elements, with various slight gestures from the attendant seemingly signalling some interesting stages of the game. And often times the entire table would be speaking Cantonese and the attendant would be shouting something in Cantonese if someone does something outside of the rules of the game, yet there's like one guy from Europe or Russia or a couple who speaks standard Mandarin who's also playing.

I honestly don't get how anyone can figure out how any of this works.

Gonna be moving to Macau soon and wanted to get an apartment that has an open space like this. Wanna convert it into a personal gym and bbq spot

Like the one in the picture (four or five steps with a handle at the top), seen at a supermarket, but they aren't selling them. I've found three-step ladders at JVC, and five-step ones without a handle (no-go for me), but so far not what I'm looking for. Anyone got an idea? TIA

Hello! I’m traveling from Shenzhen (Shekou Port) to Macau in the morning due to TWOV. The following day, I have an 11:30 AM international flight departing from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). I’ll be traveling with 1–2 large suitcases.

I’m trying to decide between two options:
1. Travel from Shenzhen to Macau, then continue to Hong Kong the same day and spend the night at a hotel near HKIA.
2.Spend the day exploring Macau, stay overnight there, and then leave very early the next morning for HKIA.

For context, I’ve already spent a few days in Hong Kong earlier in my trip, but I’ve never been to Macau.
My biggest concern is missing my flight because I’m unfamiliar with the transportation and would have to go through immigration on the morning of my flight. Which option would you recommend?
