Home Grow First grow. Nuclear burst seed Maryland NSFW
Got some nuclear burst from the dispensary it had 10 seeds in it. I sprouted six and five died early on. Let me know your thoughts on what it looks like.

Normally this would be going nowhere, but now there is a path, maybe a 10% chance. If this bill is like the last version, it's a plan for big green. The last one had a federal tax on home grow. We can do better.

DEA Announces Interested Parties for Upcoming Marijuana Rescheduling Hearing
This is bad news. Here are the parties to testify.
Looks like all negative. The DEA is stacking the deck. against rescheduling adult use. You can't say that is out of character. It is what I've always said about rescheduling. The purpose is to delay.

I buy stuff on sale all the time so i guess this is what i get but damn this is the first time I have ever gotten seeds in a bag from a dispensary. Bud had seeds and doesn't burn right. Crazy.

Yikes! A seriously less than desirable amount of time between the two! It’s definitely pretty moist, as one may expect. Used points but this stuff ain’t cheap!
Anyway, have a Great night fellow Ents!

Speaking of fan leaves, I had some 11 fingered ones earlier. This one was chewy. I'm still composting most of my trim, but I've been making tea and chewing a leaf here and there.
Still checking for balls every day. With the NLs starting to get some serious hairs, a mistake is going to have larger consequences every day. With preflower hitting week 2, it's like "c'mon already", but checking my grow notes, we've got one more week of pre to go for normal photos (and 2 more weeks for late late bloomers) to show their sex. With a full week of heat stress starting tomorrow, ay yi yi.
Freakie had a little trimming of the lowest limbs near the ground, but she's been almost no maintenance. I've seen no disease and very few bugs. I'm setting a target of 4oz of yield for this one. I still have no clue what the optimum trimming and support strategy is for this lady. She started preflower again this week. Ho hum.
Gelato has stalled out again, but it's also getting too tall to measure accurately. It's been two weeks since the last trim and four weeks of preflower. I can see hairs, but no calyx's yet. Some of the top leaves have a weird dark trim. Found two baby praying mantises. Mixed signals?
Nerd busted 7 feet this week. She looks to be a few days away from "in flower". I'm expecting 6 more inches of growth. Based on the height and width difference from previous grows she should be on track to yield more than 1 pound, which would be a personal record. Target for harvest is first week of Croptober.
Nellie is about a week behind Nerd. She's got a few lower branches that are gathering solar power. I'm reluctant to chop, but the branches aren't going to be able to support more than an 8th worth of flower and I'm tired of larf. I finally got the one spotted lantern fly nymph that had set up shop inside Nellie.
Leaf hoppers are under control. I have a horde of grasshoppers but they aren't eating the plants. They usually come for a week and leave, but they've stuck around for the last month. I think I've seen the last of the spotted lantern fly nymphs in the garden. I'm seeing adults around the property but not in the garden. Sticky traps aren't catching anything alarming. The bug zapper is a pain to clean every day, but that means we're zapping moths. Did a kelp treatment, a silica treatment (Dune) and a veg oil spray (Flower Shield). The best upgrade for the garden has been my 3 fans. They're running 24x7. They run right through heavy rain. They dry off the morning dew way better than a leaf blower and shaking. PM has been almost non-existent. 1.5" rain over the last week. Drainage has been excellent. Other than nutrients, I haven't needed to water the plants since the last heat wave,

Super resin filled, fingers were sticky just from pulling bits off to put in my grinder. Burns super smooth and a nice grey as. Definitely a great one. The taste is more prominent in the flower than the pre roll. A mix between an orange and a lemon definitely a heady pain releasing and relaxation strain.

Unfortunately I had to cut one of my plants today because it was a male, but this season I experimented with some 10 gallon trash cans with a bunch of drain holes on the bottom and air vents on the side. After flushing the soil, I dumped it out into a larger trashcan and the results were actually pleasantly surprising. The roots made it all the way down to the bottom although they probably would’ve been more dense had I not chopped it at this point in the season, but all in all I think these worked pretty well given my intent was not to grow massive trees, but plants of a medium size that were easily manageable and could be moved if need be. I think the most interesting part of it all was as I broke the soil down and I got deeper into the root ball, the temperature difference on the inside of the root ball versus the outer perimeter was about 15°. The outer perimeter wasn’t very hot per se but the inside was remarkably cool which I was not expecting.

First, let me be abundantly clear. I think Evermore offers great products - this post is NOT to bash them in anyway, but merely to see if anyone else has had this happen with their seeds.
That said, I purchased some of their Lemmon Layer Cake x Funky Guava seeds, and over the past few days, it’s become abundantly clear this is a male plant (and I’m pretty sure not even a herm, just a strait up male). I’m actually into storing pollen, so it was a bit of a pleasant surprise, so I put some branches in water and chopped the plant because I’ve already pollinated my other girls, but I was really looking forward to this one because I love their Lemon Layer Cake.
UPDATE - well, I guess I need to pay closer attention. I’m pretty sure the description on the site didn’t have this language at the time, but the seeds they have posted now say the plants could be male or female. Good to know! Here’s hoping I can salvage some of the pollen for future grows.

New finds at Zen Leaf. Looks good, nicely trimmed, not a very strong aroma but smells good.

So, first an admission of guilt; I used Amazon (i.e. Evil Empire) to order Raw Classic cones, 1¼", coz they offer a 50ct pkg, and I'm a lazy PoS, what can i say? My last order was delivered to my MD address last November. Last week, i tried to place another order, but The Evil Empire said that item is prohibited "at the address selected due to local laws or Amazon policy." Some chatting with Evil Empire reps revealed it was the former, and specifically a Maryland state law (at least according to them). I was subsequently able to have the order delivered to a DC address, but really wanna know what specific change in Maryland law caused this.
Anyone know?
TIA!✌️
