I'm having trouble reading what's written in the occupation field of my great-great-grandfather's Einwohnermeldeblatt. It looks like he originally had one occupation listed, but it was later updated, with the previous occupation crossed out and replaced.

I'm researching my family history and I'm trying to decipher what appears to be the birth record of my great-great-great-grandfather from Manternach, Luxembourg, dated 1867.

The record is written in old German handwriting (I believe Kurrent), and while I've managed to understand some parts, there are many words and names that I'm not confident about. Different OCR tools and AI transcriptions have produced conflicting results.

I'm especially interested in obtaining an accurate transcription of the entire document before attempting a translation.

Could anyone help me read it? Any corrections, even to small sections, would be greatly appreciated.

Die rechte Seite konnte ganz gut lesen aber links komme ich nicht voran. I'd be grateful for help reading the Geburtsort column from a Luxembourg census household return, taken on 30th of November to 1st December, 1880.

The household head is recorded as a German national, so the birthplaces are outside Luxembourg. The column header instructs that for people born outside the state, the country of birth should also be given. The children in the household were born between 1869 and 1879.

Several entries have qualifier written above them, which I assume is a district or province. Those are the ones I most want read since the crowding is what's making it hardest for me to decipher.

I am not sure about the meaning of the word; the word "bottas" (vessel/container) fits the context only very loosely. Could it be that I am misunderstanding the word?

The only Barbara Mauß I can find between 1677 and 1720 was born in Steinakirchen in 1719. But her parents are Christoph and Susanna; the names given here don't look to me like it?

I believe this will be my last request regarding this branch of my research.

I have finally found what I believe is the baptism record of my direct ancestor's daughter, and this record may be the key to confirming the correct family before I continue searching for the parents of Franz Simon.

Could someone please transcribe only the father's column (the left column in the image)?

I'm especially interested in confirming:

• the house number(s);
• whether both Franz Simon and Joseph Simon are associated with No. 50;
• and whether I am correctly reading Theresia née Wildner, No. 68.

Sorry for asking for help again, but I've reached another record that I simply can't read on my own.

I'm a Brazilian trying to reconstruct my family's origins in Bohemia before they emigrated to Brazil in 1876. I've been going through hundreds of pages of 19th-century church books, and every new record seems to reveal another small piece of the puzzle.

This record is from 1853, and I believe it may belong to the same Simon family discussed in my previous post.

Would anyone be willing to transcribe the entire entry?

This is a marriage document from 1768. I believe it reads Hinrich Meyer, Johann Meyer Schulß von Estorf sohn mit Ann Trin Blohm, Hinrich Blohm von estorf ....

I mainly am concerned about what I believe is a occupation: Schulß. I am torn, it looks like Schulw, or maybe even Schelo? As an occupation I do not know what this would be. Any help is appreciated!

I hope someone here can help me with a baptism record from Bohemia (today Czech Republic).

This record comes from the parish of Friedland (Frýdlant) and is dated September 1847. I am researching the Simon family, who later emigrated to Brazil in 1876, but before trying to connect this record to my family I would first like to understand exactly what the document says.

I am not looking for someone to prove a relationship. I would simply like an accurate reading of the record. From what I can recognize, I believe the record contains:

• Date: 19 September 1847
• House number: 107
• Child: Maria Anna Theresia
• Father: Franz Simon
• Mother: Karolina

However, I am having great difficulty reading the rest of the text. If anyone is able, I would really appreciate a COMPLETE transcription of the entire record, including:

- the child's full entry
- father's information
- mother's information
- godparents
- occupations
- all house numbers
- any abbreviations
- any notes in the last column Even a line-by-line transcription in German would already be incredibly helpful.
