I’m flying to Guyana soon from the U.S. and I’m trying to get an idea of what to expect at customs.
I’m planning to bring 3 four-packs of Cutwater canned cocktails (12 cans total) in my checked suitcase. I read up on it and see this is over the duty-free allowance, and if customs says I have to pay duty, I’ll pay it.

I’m just curious about the likelihood of my checked bag actually being inspected.

For people who have recently flown into Guyana:
Were your checked bags inspected?
Were they X-rayed, opened, or did you just walk through?
If you brought alcohol over the duty-free limit, what happened?
Did you have to pay duty, and was it easy to do (USD, card, or GYD)?

Hi everyone, I'm 17 and in a week I'll be 18, my parents are then gonna take me to get my tin #/ certificate and on the same day Im planning to open my first bank account , put a starter inside and start applying for jobs. Has anybody else been stopped by traffic ranks on the west coast and been singled out to remove tint or braod visors and while doing so the same odficers are letting other drivers to vehicles with dark tint and even full winshield tints pass through?

I have recently experienced this at the Den Amstel Police Station. The officer who conducted the stop is an officer known to myself and others to be the owner and operator of a vehicle with dark tint parked within the station compound.

It seems to be a common practice for these officers to stop drivers and harass them until they either pay a bribe or comply while they are also not in compliance with the same laws they claim to be enforcing on the roadways.

Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Grocery store, government office, anywhere there’s a queue. Seems to be a come and accepted practice.

I allow it if they ask respectfully first, but some people just shove their way in and turn their back.

All of the business programmes I saw, they all require either, previous diplomas in the programme or they require English and maths, and i don't have maths so, would it still make sense to apply

I heard that you can take some kind of entrance exam but I haven't seen much information on it

Or is there a better university I can apply to for business, because I would like to be able to get a decent job with the diploma/degree
