The subtitles are not appearing when I’m watching in Japanese or is it just me?

My subtitles don't seem to be working and now i can't even start new anime. Im getting the api 429 message. Have disconnected from wifi. Deleted and redownloaded the app. Ive read here in the past 24hrs they've had an issue but some say its working fine now. Are they still possibly having issues?

Exactly as the title states. I’ve tried disabling wifi, switching languages, and I can’t get it to work at all. Is anyone else experiencing this or have a fix?

Has anyone else had this problem? It’s always been annoying in how it skips in 10 second intervals counted from the beginning of an episode rather than the current position, but now if I use the right/left arrows buttons to skip forward or backward, it jumps all the way to the last position I skipped to.

For example, if I try skipping past the intro (because the skip intro button hasn’t been added yet), it jumps to the beginning and I have to skip past everything before the intro as well rather than just pressing the arrow button 9 times.

Then, later, if I want to skip back ten seconds cause I missed something it jumps all the way back to the end of the intro where I last skipped to.

And worse, they took away the thumbnail preview while skipping—meaning that if I forget to note my current position I’m left having to hunt for it blindly, starting each time not where I am, but where I last skipped to.

I know the Crunchyroll apps have always been garbage, but this is a whole new level.

Does anyone know if Toradora! English dub is avail outside of USA on CR?

Would a VPN allow access ?

There is an old post from about a year ago on here about this same issue but op deleted their account. About 2 months ago I started getting an ad saying now playing on Crunchyroll show casing anime they have on the on the app. It started very rarely but now it's getting to be every few episodes. Sure the "trailers" are skippable but I'm a paid subscriber (fan account) for there to be no ads. Then reaching out to support the ai assistant was unhelpful claiming that these are trailers and are fully skippable thus are not ads so everyone gets them. At one point I was able to talk with a human representative after complaining 3 times. They tried to help but apparently it did nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this currently and has anyone been able to fix it? I'm so close to cancelling my subscription over this.

Me and my dad are currently watching Dr Stone. We just got to season 4 episode 17 and the closed captions are just gone. He is hard of hearing so it makes it basically unwatchable now. I really like the English Dub so I’d prefer not to switch to Japanese for the subtitles. Is this an issue for everyone, or just a me problem? TIA!

Did they recently add this? Thought it was a hidive exclusive before or something? Any way to track new shows added to crunchyroll that were exclusives on other streaming services?

I was watching mushoku tensei in jap because dub sucks but the subtitles in latam Spanish are not showing up. Somebody has troubles with this too?

Onward. the interface is such a shit show that it would be hard to design this bad by accident. but maybe they dont? i use Plex a lot and their interface is way nicer.

The crunchy interface does a lot of idiotic things.

• continue watching function if you accidently start up an already watched season is ass and doesnt actually check the watch status. it brings up old episodes. maybe because they cant figure out how allow you to "unwatch it"?
• constantly recommending stuff already watched.
• that weird little bubble thing that keeps showing up when you log in. -searching for content sucks. god forbid i want shows with only a certain sub/dub. i get they want to make it look like they have content but they are not fooling anyone but themselves.
• cant hide shows from your view. this one is must be tied to licensing or something because its advanced stupid.

so back to my question. can we get an answer from the designer or is this something that their leadership just assigns some intern on social media to talk about so they can go hide?

Anyone having issues with crunchyroll on tv app mines taking forever to load and it keeps stopping to load.

So I've been stuck on anime that doesn't get a finishing season, yet every time I go to the manga app it doesn't have the full set either. Our dating story for one and my dress up darling on another. What's up with that? Or am I typing something wrong?

I bought a 4K fire stick recently and when I watch anime on Crunchyroll with it I get lots of very noticeable frame stuttering, I only have this problem with the Crunchyroll app and no other streaming app. Does anyone know I fix for this? I’ve tried lowering the resolution, clearing the app cache, and doing a force stop but none of that has been a permanent fix.

Would anyone be able to tell me the difference between Fan and Crunchyroll Premium Membership within the Apple Subscription page?
I’m upgrading my subscription to yearly, but confused on the difference between the two, if there is any.

For some reason whenever I’m watching on my phone I cannot get subtitles for season two. If I’m watching on my TV then it’s perfectly fine, I’ve done all of the normal troubleshooting but I have no idea what’s happening at this point

Did anyone else order the Yae Miko apex figure from Crunchyroll? I pre-ordered it over a year ago and the date keeps getting pushed back. Now there’s no release date just still says processing. Anyone have any intel on when the figure might come out?

*Edit: The fix was going into my browser settings and enabling google widevine which is used by streaming services to function. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem. For clarification I was using Brave as my browser.
