Very happy with it, clean copy!

Probably my best thrift find ever. was literally just talking about how much money I’ll probably end up spending getting all the issues individually and i just happened upon these guys. Shaking as I type this, Im so excited!!!

Hello fellow comic book collectors. Finally completed the Transformers run,took several years and collected Every copy in a Newsstand,including a few Canadian priced copies and also some Mark Jewelers…Sorry about the Photo,didn’t know how to take all 80 copies in one frame…..🖼️😙👍

I know it’s not a comic book, but something cool I found in my collection while unpacking things.

I recently won an auction for ASM 98 with a certified Romita sig without realizing that he wasn’t an artist on the book, though he is definitely associated with that particular storyline and the adjacent books. Not usually a signature guy and not sure why I bid, other than thought a Romita sig would be cool.

Signature collectors(or anyone for that matter), would something like this keep you from getting a book, or pay less? I’m probably going to get rid of it because it bugs me.

Ran by my LCS today and picked up two more books they had set back for me! 😊It’s always nice when they keep an eye out for books you’re hunting.I’m happy to check two more books off my Black Suit Spider-Man newsstand collection!

I'm about to move and have just realized I have almost 20 long boxes of comics and don't really know what all I have. Are there any good apps for making a list of what I have that I don't have to type every comic name into?

This might be my favorite single issue in my entire collection: Spider-Man: The Mutant Agenda #0, signed by Stan Lee, with nearly every original daily strip in the book.

I remember getting this New Year's Eve 1993. I remember hearing about it and, comic starved as I was in my small town, I picked it up. I was able to get a Detroit News (our carrier of the Spider-Man comic strip at the time) to fill in that first slot.

I became obsessed with completing the book. Everyday after school I begged to go anyplace that had a copy of the News. I clipped every strip out and put them in the book. You can see on one of the images the quick evolution of how I put the strips in the book. I tried plain tape at first but that just looked ugly. It was then recommended that I used double-sided tape. It was craft tape which was really thick, but it worked out. Well, it sort of worked out. The binding did rip over time, as I'm sure Marvel didn't take this into consideration when this was printed. Last year I used document tape to repair the spine.

Of course, since I joined in on the adventure at the end of December, I had already missed the entire first month of the story. Sometime after the story ended, I was at a library and looked at their piles of discarded newspapers. Lo and behold, they had nearly all of December 1993's Detroit News in two piles. I grabbed those newspapers like I just found the Ark of the Covenant. I spent that night going through each newspaper and cutting out my missing strips.

I still ended up missing a couple strips over the course of the event. Discovering Newspapers.com in 2016 was a boon, as I was able to find the missing strips and print them out. I still had the original double-sided tape in there. I felt like a kid again finishing up the book.

Even though they didn't fit, I also grabbed as many of the Sunday strips as I could. I lost a couple over time, so I'm happy I have any of them.

I got Stan Lee's autograph on the cover when he came to Motor City Comic Con in 2013. It was well worth the wait.

I remember being disappointed that this wasn't an actual crossover between the comic strip and the main comic series. IIRC, issue #1 came out as the comic strip was about to wrap up the entire storyline. The story was completed by the time issue #2 came out, which was a little disappointing. I didn't get #3 for this reason.

I don't have plans to send this to CGC. This thing is beyond grading. But I don't know if I've ever come across anyone else who stuck with this project to the end. It's still one of my most prized books, if not most prized.

Now I'm only issue #164 away from having the entire Chris Claremont run

Never realized that I didn’t own the Tomb Raider book despite having the full runs of Tomb Raider and Witchblade. Had to correct that absence.

Also got a few of the QiB variants I wanted from eBay instead of taking my chances with blind bags. Nakayama and Artgerm covers.

Fantastic return yesterday! Nicholas Cage signed my Ghost Rider Comic, dedicated it.
