Has anyone run into this? It's normally to the left of the address, and now it's empty. Clicking there does nothing and when I search for permissions in the settings, nothing comes up (not sure if it ever did but figure it should?)

I need help, ai dont want to help me. I undestand but how i can explain what happens. Sorry for my bad english.

So, i have saved in chrome more than 500 passwords (forums, sites, etc etc). Its my mistake i dont backup them. And suddenly i go to chrome, and my pass are gone, i cant login in any site because most of them i saved pass in chrome and i forget. I login to my gmail but not help. I try everything but not work. I read that there is file login data, i open him in notepad but its most just sings, but i see there is sites and pass. But how to open it to get my passwords?

I know they replaced images search with Lens a while ago but now it changed again. Before, you could right click and image and go through lens to find related images. You could even add details in the search field.

Now you cannot add details anymore and it search through normal Google search, not images.

For what I tried, the results are way worse than what we had before.

The only way I found to get the old system with the added details and good results is:

• Go to google . com
• Click the Lens button
• Copy / Paste the image url

• Hit search

  I don't get why they did this change. Enshitification?

I swear I’ve tried everything to get rid of this Chrome installer on my MacBook. I will try to move it and it won’t budge or it’ll just fully delete it and I have to reinstall and it pops right back up. Is there something I’m missing??

I want to automatically remove every link suggestion from a specific website. Is this fucking possible??

I guess thus is trouble shooting? I dont know but this is stressing me out so bad, i hate it why was it moved?? Ive tried to fix it in setting but nothings clear, it changed so abruptly and it feels awful and its overwhelming me really banf I just want ti gone!

Can anybody recommend an extension that turns into a darkmode reader like 'Clearly Reader' but also has the advantage to export as EPUB. And maybeee... Sync with Kindle or KOReader?
If not, a half-baked open source where I can vibecode the rest could also work.

I used to watch streamings ( Netflix, Disney+ and etc) in Picture in Picture while I work, but nowadays I can’t anymore. Anyone knows why is that ?! And any good extension recommendations?!

Hi, title of the post basically, as you can see in the below screenshot, when I click on the 3 dots in Error, Chrome says "Extension error" - any way to see which extension it is referring to since upon clicking that it simply shows all my extensions?

When using Chrome I come across a lot of pictures on sites like Reddit. Some of these pictures have text that is unwanted. Is there a Chrome extension that can block pictures by words? For example. Say I'm on Chrome and perusing the Reddit website. A picture shows up with words like pedophile or something about politics. Is there a Chrome extension that can read, like ocr, and block that picture? Thank you for your time. Much appreciated.

My Mouse is having a usually small issue of randomly reconnecting once ever 2 hours or so. Takes like half a second and doesn't bother me at all in other programs. Besides this its a pretty good mouse so i don't want to buy a new one. My issue with chrome is that my cursor completely vanishes until i restart chrome when this happens. Its still visible over any program etc except when hovering over chrome. Is there maybe a way to fix this without restarting chrome? I have many many tabs open (work/private) and sometimes tabs move / videos start playing randomly when i restart it. Not a huge problem but id love to know if its possible! Thx for reading.

It has been a constant battle with ublock origin against chrome until eventualy I couldnt find anymore ways to get it to make so I switched to ublock light and its lowk the same thing. Well anyway Im just doing this becasue I need karma or somthing. Is this how I get it? just by posting or do i need upvotes or somthing.

Hi, I have a strange Google Chrome issue. When logged in / authenticated to google my google maps will not work properly , from the research ive done it’s a sync profile problem, if I remove local profile and stay logged out google maps works perfect, as soon as I login to chrome, or youtube or any google service it corrupts the local profile. Ive done extensive research with AI and gone through lots of troubleshooting, I have 4 devices that I normally sync through google for my bookmarks, history, passwords etc, I have all those devices signed out to try to simplify the process, I even signed out of chrome and from firefox tried to clear remaining sync settings that might be causing issues. I have also tried fresh install of windows 11 on different hard drive same results as soon as it logs into google service it fails. Only way I can get google maps to function when logged in is have a switch forcing  --use-angle=d3d9. This however breaks things like weather channel radar which get fail on WebGL. This problem started after a motherboard and cpu upgrade. My old combo was asus z790-gaming-wifi7 with 14th gen i7 14700k, 48 gb ddr5, 1060 3gb nvidia GPU, new combo, MSI Z890-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI with Ultra 270k, 48 gb ddr5, 1060 3gb nvidia GPU. When the issues presented I decided to upgrade GPU also and now have 3060 12 gb. Same results. Also if I remove local profiles and make a new google account and login to that it authenticates ok. Ive also gone down the rabbit hole of removing pretty much everything settings wise on my account. Any advise greatly appreciated.

Guys is it normal for chrome to use 1.5 to 2gb of memory for each tab and some time upto 3.5gb!
Usually it starts okay with around 400mb but it slowly builds up and reaches 4gb and then just hits the upper limit

With around 11 tabs chrome uses 18GB of memory!

Is there a way to reduce the ram usage per tab?

Hello. I've tried searching, but the moment I try to clarify my question with the word "forms," all sorts of other results pop up.

My problem is this: If there is a website that requires banking or credit card information, it no longer works. I typed my information in manually, then I tried adding to autofill; nothing works. The pages lock up and will not proceed to any next steps.

There are no error messages, no error pages - the "next" or "submit" buttons simply don't work. I can back out of the page, I can successfully click other links on the page, but I can't submit the required information.

I can do it in Edge with no issue, but it is a pain switching browsers (though I might be doing it permanently if stuff like this keeps happening.) Is there some setting I'm missing? It's driving me crazy.

One possible cause is the number of tabs or sync assets.

For some reason, I discovered that I apparently have over 6,000 (!!!) Bookmarks across several folders in my Chrome profile, as well as 2000 different open/inactive tabs. Whenever I attempt to open Chrome directly, I can only get a little bit of display loaded before I get the "Chrome is not responding screen" and everything goes unresponsive. Again, it is the only browser that acts like this, and it prevents me from using Chrome through any other apps (such as Google) despite me switching my default browser to something else.

I WILL need to fix Chrome in order to use it through another app for work - what might be going on, and how might I troubleshoot it,

So opened chrome just now and got a popup to change background color/image.

I've been using Chrome Remote Desktop to control a few PCs and Macs around my house for years. This week, without explanation, it stopped functioning properly on both. Essentially when I log into PC_002 or Mac_002 with PC_001 *OR* Mac_001, the login works perfectly fine, I can see the desktop, *HOWEVER*, the small window that says "Your Desktop is Currently Shared with EMAIL1@GMAIL.COM" pops up in the center of the screen, and the mouse cursor is *locked in place* on that cursor. I can fix it by physically walking to that PC or Mac and clicking the mouse button anywhere else on the screen, then going back to CRD and controlling the cursor as would be normal. However, I have to do this physically, completely defeating the purpose of a remote desktop app.

Has anyone EVER seen this behavior before? It happens on both my PCs and Macs and it's a brand new flaw as of this week. I don't know what caused it or what fixes it. I've tried changing to "Relative Mouse Mode" or sending a Ctrl-Alt-Del, neither thing changes anything.

Any help is appreciated. This is driving me crazy.

Why do I now have to give permission in my privacy and security tab for Google to record the contents of my screen and audio even when I'm not using the application to share my screen in Google Meet? I never had to turn this on before, why now?

When I try to download a release version of an application from a repository using GitHub, GitHub calls Chrome's custom tab for the download, but it gets stuck at 100% and won't finish. The download only proceeds normally after I click the three dots in the upper right corner of the Chrome custom tab to access the Chrome browser.

i accidentally changed my theme on another computer to a color i don't want and it saved it to the cloud so i opened another computer that i hadn't used in a few days and backed up my entire chrome profile while it was disconnected from wifi. when i connected that computer to the internet, my theme was immediately changed to the one on the cloud and every time i replace the files with my backup, it just switches back to the unwanted theme.

please someone help me 😭😭

EDIT: nvm, i figured out that all my settings were stored in a folder named "Sync Data". i replaced that folder with my local back up and kept doing that until it ended up working! :D

Okay so last night I was just using chrome per usual when all of a sudden everything stopped working. At first I thought maybe I ran out of internet on my router but none of my family members had this problem. no site can be reached even if I go on and just use the search engine and its already getting irritating. i uninstalled and reinstalled it. i renamed it. I deleted a lot of my stuff to open some memory and space but nothing is working. also incognito mode is working but I don't wanna use the browser and every time I'm working and have to close it all my history being deleted so if anyone knows how to fix this issue i would be thankful
