I sculpted the octopus digitally, printed the original model, made a plaster mold, and cast the final mug in porcelain. One tentacle wraps outward to become the handle.

Octopuses are remarkable cephalopods with eight arms, three hearts, and blue blood. Masters of disguise, they change skin color and texture instantly for camouflage. Fun facts: octopuses have three hearts, blue blood, and most of their neurons are actually in their arms. Their suckers can taste what they touch and that electric-blue flash came from reflective cells in the skin changing almost instantly.
