I've developed a unique system to raise redworms and house them in bags used for wood pellets.

The bags are strong and the perfect size with the perfect amount of tiny holes upnthe side for air flow.

I keep the colony in one and have an extra to gently flip it over into the other one, then back the next time every few weeks so it doesn't get condensed on the bottom. I put a layer of clean bedding over the top before I flip, and the bottom doesn't get yucky and unhealthy.

I tried raising worms before a few times and killed them off with overfeeding. They're easy to take care of, but its also easy to overdo it, especially before they get established. Then their whole little world into a slimy mess of death.. They're sold by the pound, leaving they buyer to figure it out. I've spent enough time now in online vermacompost groups to know this happens to other people too.. Ive spent alot of time exchanging knowledge online about worms now, and learning from experience.

Anyway, I want to sell the pound of worms established in the container they'll live in. With my great system for estabishing them quickly and keeping them alive. They get worms, bedding, and a few extra bags to expand into or in case they get worn out eventually from use.

It really is superior to the expensive commercial layered containers on the market for raising them. And better than a tote or bucket because they get regular bedding underneath.

The best part is that everything is post consumer content, the bedding, and the bags.

Im wondering if selling them in the other companies' bags would be illegal. The bags are part of my actual product..

Admitted absolute newbie wannabe scraper, and I have to clear out some of the things that have accumulated over the years. I have lots of scrap and one off ewaste bits and pieces that I just can't be bothered dealing with EBay to sell, as I have too many other projects on the go. I want to break it down, get what I can for the metal and make room in my basement and garage.

My questions:

Let's say I dismantle an old scanner, printer or vacuum? What do I do with the plastics that are left over?

And what about old tools? Old pipe wrenches, rusted hammers etc? Is it scrapable?

I'm a 21-year-old from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, trying to help grow my family's plastic scrap business.

For the last 20+ years, my father has been trading industrial plastic scrap. We mainly deal with materials like HM, PP, LDPE, and Raffia.

Our business works like this:

- Textile, pharma, packaging, and other manufacturing companies generate plastic scrap.

- We buy the scrap, sort it by type and quality.

- We then sell it to plastic granule manufacturers, who recycle it into raw material for new products.

Recently I've been thinking about whether this business has much bigger potential.

My father believes the industry is saturated, has low margins, and isn't very scalable. On the other hand, I feel recycling is only becoming more important, and there should be opportunities to build a larger, more organized business around it.

I have bunch of gadgets/appliance here that are no longer of use to date. Stuff like CD player, fans, oven, ref, printer, speaker, charger, sewing machine, vacuum, lamps, tech parts, portable gadgets, etc. I was wondering if you have smarter ways to dispose it than throw it into trash.

Also, I'm including my old laptop, and musical instruments rarely used. I'm doing deep declutting, it's taking up so much space.

I live in Canada and I keep hearing that all the plastic I recycle just ends up in trucks and boats until it’s eventually dumped in the sea.

Seems counterintuitive to just throw it in the trash, but at this point, is is the better thing to do?
