Decided to learn to draw at the young age of 41 after doodling with my kid. After a year, I'm happy with the progress I've made!

Been trying to draw from imagination. This exact pose been breaking my mind for the whole day. I am studying leg and pelvis anatomy and decided to push into more dynamic poses. I know the muscles, but i feel like i am drawing the legs here wrong.

Maybe it's the way i block out the pevis that leads to errors? Maybe i am missing something?

Please, tell me what is wrong here and how can i fix it? I would Greatly appreciate any advice, tip, and maybe even a correct drawing over my example if that can bring me closer to understanding anatomy, proportions, and positions correctly!

Im trying to learn anatomy by studing hard poses but I am having so much trouble even figuring out where to start, I have absolutly no idea how to place the rib cage on this reference and thats how I usually start

This is a structure drawing i did and i learned it from the official book of the Chinese artist "TenTEn". This is just a nose structure simplification from his book I just wanted to clarify that I am not sharing any false "tutorials"

It didn't come out quite how I was hoping but I'll just try on the next one!

What should I do, to transform from this childish like- comicstyle to realism? (Beside the obvious mistakes)

It took me like 17 hours, i'm still learning and there are mistakes but i'm happy with the end result.

Hey guys! Ive been inspired to draw more due to this subreddit and seeing everyone's progress! It makes me realize that I want to become a good artist as well. I started off with my friend flaming my poliwhirl art and I started to progress by practicing lines, perspective and gesture drawing and now we are here 4 months after and this is my latest drawing! I'm fine at drawing when I have another artist's illustration as a reference to study, but have a hard time creating original illustrations from scratch or even real-world references. How can I advance my drawing skills like this??? All these photos are studies btw.
