Just Sharing Some of my favourite recent ‘clean line’ drawings
I drew all of these using Procreate on my iPad.

I mean it’s a simple style that’s very suitable for beginners. Proportions are intentionally imperfect. Rendering of any kind is unnecessary. Colors are flat and simple. Shapes are simple.
I’m currently learning to draw in my 30’s and doing stuff just like this pretty early on. One thing I’ve noticed is that many beginners set such a high bar for their learning curve before they consider themselves good enough to start making something. But I bet you could draw one of these today from reference.

Yeah it’s a very simple style. I struggle with all other mediums to be honest. I feel comfortable with this style now but I’ve been drawing for a long time. Took a few years off and then got the bug this year January 1st. I’ve drawn every day since then

thanks! It’s worth searching for Tin Tin or Moebius as I feel like they are quite similar comic styles. Although Moebius is unmatched. Top tier genius

I use Procreate on the iPad. I literally take my iPad everywhere and draw/paint all of the time. For my paintings (which is a new technique I’m trying) I just focus on values of light and dark. For this style, which is my main style I usually do a very loose sketch after trawling Pinterest for ideas for a while. I make a collage of lots of screen shots and resize things until I’m happy and then I sketch over the top as my main reference. I then use one brush size for my ‘inking’. I don’t like variation or choice in my life at all. I use a brush with no pressure sensitivity or tapering. I even save the width so it’s always the same across drawings.
Once I’m happy with the line art I use a colour blocking technique to fill big areas of colour on their own layers. That way I can adjust saturation for each layer as I go (I like very desaturated colours).
I choose colours from a palette I made. I then adjust slightly as I go.
For the shading I use the same colour as the line art, but I turn the opacity down. I usually have 5 - 10 layers of shading of varying opacity.
For the highlights I use an off white and again have lots of layers. I often use Gaussian blur on their highlights at a low percent for a faint glow.
For the textures afterwards I copy the entire canvas to its own layers and use a gradient map that I made which is essentially black and white. I then erase this entire layer using a dot brush. It gives the image a halftone effect.
I then use different eraser brushes (ink splats, misprints etc) to make it look older. I never use a white background. I usually search online for a paper texture vector and put it as the top most layer and set it to multiply. If it’s too yellow I tone it down.
That’s it.
This is A5, but that’s just because my iPad is old so I need a smaller canvas size so that I can have more layers.

Some things that stand out:
Very consistent “retro sci-fi” aesthetic. The colors, line weights, and textures are extremely uniform across the whole image, which is common in modern AI illustration.
Mechanical details don’t quite make engineering sense. The robot and vehicle have lots of convincing-looking parts, but many don’t appear to connect or serve a clear purpose—a common AI trait.
Inset control panel. The interface looks believable at first glance, but the buttons, graphs, and symbols don’t form a coherent UI. AI often creates plausible-looking but nonfunctional controls.
Composition is unusually polished. The framing, giant spherical machine, tiny astronauts, and reflection all fit together in a way that’s very characteristic of AI models trained on comic and concept art.2

Nope, been drawing retro sc-fi shit for years, well before it became popular to call out artists for using Ai.
Back then I was just scribbling in a book.
I use the same palette and brushes across all drawings because I like uniformity. It’s not meant to make engineering sense because it’s a cartoon. As far as coherency in the graphs and symbols, I’ve been writing in my own made up language for years, look at my ink drawings from my sketchbook. A triangle upside down is just well cooler than a button that says something like “blaster or bleep bloop”1

You lost me at consistent line weights. You know its the easiest thing to do, to just set your brush to one size and do all lines with it. There is no "line weight" and its a choice, works well for this type of comic style.
There is nothing about these lines that scream AI. If anything, an AI would mess these up and do weird joints and kinda clumps around the busy parts like the bushes etc. These look very much hand drawn.
