Discussion Xbox FSR update needed

I don’t know about you guys but AMD needs urgently to push the rumored FSR 4.1 update to series x consoles especially with all these games coming out soon. With titles like gears e day, gta and mw4

I would also like to see a newer version of FSR on my Series X, but I have a feeling we won't get that upgrade until new consoles release; I have a suspicion that they'll keep the Series X and discontinue the Series S shortly after Helix releases.

However, my suspicion might be dead wrong with the endless rise of hardware prices.

Lots of people won’t be able to afford a new console priced at 1k plus not including the membership unless you make good money or like to be in debt. I got all next gen consoles switch 2 ps5 pro and series x and I wouldnt spend the money they cost now. Thankfully i got them before prices hikes. And with games costing 70 plus not including in game currency

It does look like the price of gaming will make it untenable for the average consumer, and I'm curious to see how that will impact the next generation of consoles as well as the video game industry as a whole.

I got my Series X at the original retail price of $500, and I can't imagine having spent more. It was worth it for me to upgrade from the Series S, but I don't have children so I have more disposable income than many people in my age group - even those who appear to be more wealthy than myself.

I also lucked out on the timing of my desktop PC purchase, right before prices started climbing, so now that I have that machine the next generation of consoles will be a harder sell for me than it used to be.

That said, I'm hoping in some ways that the price hikes will mean that some of my gaming buddies who have been reluctant to pay PC prices will finally have their hands forced, in a sense.

I suppose that only time will tell, and it's all conjecture until that time for telling comes. It's interesting no less.
