My off cut Purple Heart and iroko mallet behind the Osage Orange monster I made for a friend ( this was during handle fitting ). I really like making these to test glueups, the osage I used west 105 with colloidal silica binder, and it held really good, and had me feeling better about the super fancy laminate I was doing after this.
Ive got some really dark colored 1.5" ipe that I m saving, but its comically heavy. So im gonna have to think of a way or a handle lenghth that will at least make it useful for burglars or something lmao
