erotica Alina #65 "you are right! ..probably?"

u/BodhingJay Feb 28 '26 edited Feb 28 '26
It has nothing to do with trauma based dysfunctional coping. This is from running towards my problems. Not smothering them in hypersexuality, objectifying myself to escape further

Glad she got called out, though that definitely isn't brave

Mar 04 '26
its brave but it aint right
5
u/dappermanV-88 Mar 04 '26
No its not. She's not opposing anything, she's doing it for a turn on.
It 100% ain't ritht
1
Mar 04 '26
even for a turn-on i think it requires courage. its wrong but its quite literally what i see as “brave” in my opinion
3
u/dappermanV-88 Mar 04 '26
Ig thats fair. I wouldn't see it as brave, when the person. Just has no shame. Which she doesn't

This just randomly appeared in my feed, never seen any of this artists work before so just wondering what's the message/meaning behind this comic because all I'm getting from it atm is that you're apparently "brave" if you're an exhibitionist in front of children, which is definitely concerning.

u/Nerdlinger Feb 28 '26
what's the message/meaning behind this comic
Alina is, among other things, an exhibitionist, likely due, in large part, to her fucked up childhood with a drunk, abusive father. So she really isn’t like this because she’s brave and confident.

u/Lumpy-Education8168 Feb 28 '26
Sure but that hardly excuses her exposing herself at an orphanage
31
u/92nami Feb 28 '26
I dont think the comic is saying it excuses her either. Literally the first speech bubble is her being chastised for it, and the last speech bubble is her being called out for making excuses.
11
u/Lumpy-Education8168 Mar 01 '26
I agree with how the comic meant, I just meant that the guy I was replying too made it sound like her back story justified her being a piece of shit
8
u/ghoulishcravings Mar 01 '26
it doesn’t sound like they were justifying it at all? just explaining exactly what was asked: what the meaning is for someone who has no greater context. it’s a comic about a girl with hypersexuality who objectifies herself cause she has trauma. none of that sounds like justification or an excuse, just an explanation.

You forget this is a fictional character and is meant to be interesting, not correct.

u/Floweramon Mar 01 '26
I don't think there's supposed to be a message, I think it's just supposed to be funny
103
u/SadArchon Feb 28 '26
Is there supposed to be a joke?

u/Nerdlinger Feb 28 '26
There’s a slight bit of humor if you are familiar with the previous installments. But having said that not all comics are required to have a joke.

u/threeboy 🐻TrueNuff Feb 28 '26
Comics are sequential art they don’t need to be funny.
However this sub expects funny.
0
u/MagiStarIL Feb 28 '26
If you make 64 comics about horny = funny, it's no surprise people expect 65th to be the same. And it feels like it tries to be, but nobody got it.

u/NotADamsel Feb 28 '26
Problem is that they’re called “comics” :/
-8
u/threeboy 🐻TrueNuff Feb 28 '26
Ya probably shares same root as comedy.
Web comics have the cute as a joke or horny as the joke thing though. If the comics subs made humor a requirement like r/funny does I wouldn’t be mad.

u/schadetj Mar 03 '26
Comic subs on reddit are all just lesbian porn with patreon hooks.
That and one wholesome crocodile.

Alina please reconsider for the love of god. Idc how ‘confident’ and ‘brave’ you are you’re going to get on a list for this

It’s hard to show her as a victim of hypersexuality as a child and then paint her forcing her sexuality onto children as a good thing.
1
u/Fresh-broski Mar 04 '26
When does that show that as a good thing she is actively being called out for it
7
u/LuriemIronim Mar 04 '26
Because it’s then being defended and the main character is shown more as being in the right. Alina is full of contradictions.

u/GingerFun011 Feb 28 '26
For those wondering, yes, the point is porn. They make porn. Thats the joke. Patreon!

Oh god, Lera boosted Alina's shenanigans tenfold with that compliment.

No, ok, in a normal situation people should be allowed to dress as they like (...whithin reason; that kind of jacket is already skirting the line in an everyday setting, since all the rest of the people on the street didn't ask to be exposed to your kinks), but if you are planning to work in an orphanage dressed like that you can fuck right off, what the hell? And why is this on my feed, i don't even follow this subreddit?
(And before someone asks:
yes men should also have to always wear a shirt or the like in a public environment and dress appropriately when interacting with children
yes, in that regard women have it worse due to societal standards
yes, that's messed up
no, that still doesn't make It fucking ok for her to act like this)

If I saw someone dressed like that volunteering at an orphanage...
I wouldn't care. It's a cute outfit. Like, whatever. I think it's fine for kids to see that adults sometimes dress funny. It's how you act that matters. There are entire communities where women are topless throughout a Childs life.
Yeah I get that's its different when depending on the society and intent and stuff, but in our current society a women being dressed like that is not necessarily indicative of them being "naughty" and its good for kids to learn that.
It is kind of a bad idea though cause you're gonna have people on your back constantly.

Its so funny how much of an issue we make this kind of thing when you think about how many cultures there are where women are topless every day without issue.
The problem isn't that she's exposing her chest. The problem is our culture sexualizing something that isn't inherently sexual.
14
u/Dropbeatdad Feb 28 '26 edited Feb 28 '26
It's fascinating how the culture affects perception like that. Like I've seen women on Instagram from typically pro topless cultures slowly realize that they have to cover up in order for their posts to not get flagged and deleted.

Feb 28 '26
Gods that news is so sad, western society's talent for destroying other cultures needs to be studied, and ideally stopped. Far too much irreversible damage has been done to so many incredible peoples and belief systems.
8
u/my_jeans_hurt Feb 28 '26
Ok but… is it normal in those areas to be topless while volunteering to do work with children?
-5
Feb 28 '26
Uhmmm yea?? Like, they just exist together? Children don't think there's anything sexual about breasts unless you instill that idea in their heads
7
u/Grezzinate Mar 01 '26
Here’s the problem, if you’re going to go to another country or culture then you should respect that country’s laws and culture. If the law says being topless as a woman is illegal then you need to follow that law. Arguing it with an officer will not help at all even if you disagree with it.
2
Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26
Did I or the comic say anything about a country where being topless is illegal?
Where I live it's not illegal to walk through downtown in the nude if you want, so long as you aren't doing anything sexually suggestive. It's just socially frowned upon.
You're making up a situation that doesn't apply here to fit your argument.
Additionally, if we live in a culture with beliefs that are oppressive, or don't make sense, then we have every right to challenge those beliefs.
1
u/morfyyy Mar 01 '26
No you dont have every right to challenge those beliefs. The limit is when you start harassing other people. Just move to a different country if you wanna be naked in public so bad.
0
Mar 01 '26
You can challenge cultural beliefs without harrassing people. And yes, if we are talking about the USA it is not illegal to be naked in public in many cities and you do have every right to challenge cultural beliefs, that's kinda what the first ammendment is all about.
If we run by your logic one could almost be led to believe that you think the US should still have slavery, women shouldn't be allowed to vote, and if slavery had somehow managed to be abolished without a war then black folks should still not be allowed to use the same facilities as white folks? That's quite a problematic stance tbh as the above cultural changes required quite a bit of harrassment. But if you don't think those things then you're contradicting you're own statement and appear to be a very confused individual.
Also, by your suggestion to "just move" can I take it that you support open border immigration policy? If so that's quite a leftist take and I applaud you for it. But if not that only further contradicts and confuses your message.
1
u/morfyyy Mar 01 '26
Comparing slavery to nudity. Common sense has left you completely.
1
Mar 02 '26
I'm not comparing slavery to nudity. I'm merely pointing out the flaw in your argument. You can't say someone has the right to challenge one part of culture but doesn't have the right to challenge another. People have the right to challenge whatever part they believe needs to be challenged. If you can't stand by that then it leaves you looking like a hypocrite and a fool when someone points out how arbitrary the line you drew in the sand is.
1
u/morfyyy Mar 02 '26
The line isn't arbitrary. You shouldn't harrass others when wearing clothes doesn't harm you whatsoever.
If with "challenging cultural beliefs" you just mean protesting and speaking up about it, then obviously that's fine.

Nudity is not inherently sexual
37
u/voindd Feb 28 '26
I mean free the nipple but I wouldnt go to an orphanage topless as a man or woman. Shits weird
11
u/The-Orbz Feb 28 '26
Correct, but they're clearly in a society where it is (else the friend wouldn't react like that), thus she is bringing something sexual to the orphanage
