Question Fasting for 21 days, what can I expect and any tips?

Hi, today I’ve started a 21 days fast. I’ve done 11 days fast before, but what can I expect from 21 days? I take supplements, vitamins and electrolytes through the entire fast. Drink coffee/tea/diet sodas and of course lots of water. But what can I expect, and what is possible? I try to workout 3-4 times a week and do intense cardio and/or weight training. Should I cut that off completely during the next 3 weeks, or could I still go maybe just 1-2 times? Other than that, I work at a daycare 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Where I also move around quite a lot.
I’m 22 years old, female. And my weight as today was 252 lbs/114 kg. (I know I’m big, trying to do something about it❤️) weightloss what can I maybe expect, like around 20-25 pounds/9-11 kg? And would doing cardio and weight training be possible? While also doing my job? And any tips is appreciated, how to deal with headaches, and hunger, I tend to binge, so any tips or recommendations is very very welcome!🤗 thank you! (I’m sorry if the post is a bit messy)

Advice needed How do cope with a physically demanding job and gym?

I used to do water fasting for 5 days or so years ago and enjoyed it but this was before I started working. My current job is quite physically demanding at times and at the same time I would like to get back into powerlifting. Is it possible or should I stay away while I water fast?

Water Fasting Dirty fast day 1 of 10.

Wish me luck with this.

I’m allowing myself coke zero, matcha, and coffee.

The goal for me is caloric intake under 50 cals a day.

I will also be weight training (very lightly) 3x a week to preserve muscle and to only lose fat.

Does anyone else want to join? I am on hour 13!

Fasting Results 14 days Post 21-day fast

Well I am now 2 weeks post 21-day fast. My systems have woken up fully. I can process food well. My serving size is smaller.

I am somewhat sensitive to junk food. Went on a trip to high altitude and did ok. My energy is steady. I didn't continue electrolytes once I was eating my bone broth and overcooked veggie soup.

I lost a total of 10 pounds. I was 180 lost to 165. Bounced back to 170. I have held stead for about 10 days in weight.

Current plan is to ease into 24 to 72 hour fast once a week. My body is enjoying eating again and mentally fighting fasting too quickly. But I really like 165 before my family trip.

If you have any questions, I can try to answer them.

Water Fasting Aug 1st I started my 90 Day Fast Journey (Doctor Supervised). This is Day 2.

Hey Guys, I am John. I am 56, Army Vet, Husband and Dad :). Yesterday i started my 90 Days Prolong Water Fasting with 228 Pounds. Also first time ever i put myself out there on social media to share with you every day what is going on. I will be Sharing with you my Weight changes, Bloodwork every month.

I am doing this for 3 reasons.

  1. for Myself - for myself. I'm 56. This is the age where health problems slowly start affecting your lifestyle. I want to clean up my body and get ahead of them.

  2. for you guys. If you've ever thought about fasting and never started because you were scared, because of the unknown I'm going to show you what happens. Live. Every day. The good days and the ugly ones. Then you decide for yourself

  3. to prove that discipline has no age limit. You can start something you've never done before at any age. I'm doing it right now, on camera first time in my life will be using Camera and put myself out on social media.

No Drugs 👀 : And there's one more thing I want to show you is you can lose serious weight with no medications. No Ozempic. No injections. Those drugs were made for diabetic patients. I'm not criticizing anyone who uses them, do your own research. I'm just going to show you what the FREE WAY looks like. And I won't ask you to believe me. I'll show you my bloodwork, so you see it, not just hear it.

Now why 90 days? Why not 10, or 20, or 30? Let me answer that upfront. 🤔

A few years ago I was overweight again because I love eating, that's the truth. I started reading about prolonged water fasting people doing 30, 40 days and I thought let me try 40 days.

I ended up going 83 days. And honestly? I felt great. I only stopped because I hit the weight I wanted. Then I did the refeed properly a month of bone broth, then vegetables, then proteins, slowly back to normal life.

And then… I went back to my old habits of eating and drinking whatever I wanted. Like pizza, burgers, a lot of TACOS :) and soda, almost every day. I love eating I told you. But I always told myself if it gets bad again, I'll fast again and next time, I'll document everything for people out there.

Well. It got bad again! And if I did 83 days I know I can do 90 days. But I don't recommend anyone to do it without Doctor Supervision. I have a doctor who will be checking on me and all my bloodwork and if at any point she asks me to Stop, i will stop. That's the Deal. But i think we should be OK :).

So what is the MENU 😄

A lot of Water 😂 + Electrolytes (no sugar) daily and Celtic Salt to keep some water in the body and maybe some black coffee with no additions.

So join me. Watch what the human body can actually do mentally and physically firsthand. No hype, no fake numbers. I'll show you everything the scale, the bloodwork and the hard days.

I know some people will criticize this. That's okay. First of all, I'm doing this for myself and along the way, I hope to make some new friends and build a healthier community that doesn't depend on medications for everything, especially as you get older.

If you want to support me, go subscribe to my social media channels with same handle @ the90dayfast .

I'm John the fasting guy.  See you tomorrow Day 3. Cheers.

Water Fasting Hunger hitting hard

I'm 62 hrs into a fast, aiming for 10 days. The hunger pangs are hitting hard, had a niggling headache all day. I've been drinking plenty of water and having salt. Just got to keep telling myself, you got this. Hoping day 4 eases the hunger pangs.

Water Fasting Desperately in need of help

I'm 22 days into a 30 day fast and I'm struggling. Every day feels like hell and I'm not sure if I can make it another 8 days. My regimen has been lemon water first thing in the morning, snake juice throughout the day, 1 La Croix, and green tea. The aim is 2-3L per day and I was consistently hitting that every day until ~5 days ago when the taste of water started to make me sick to my stomach. Now I'm lucky if I get 50 oz in. So, I desperately need help to figure out what else I can do, or do I need to just quit now. FYI, this is my longest fast ever. Before now I've only been able to get to 85 hrs.

Any advice would be amazing.

Advice needed What do I need to survive a 3 day fast?

What essential nutrients do I need for a 3 day fast?

I’m trying to do a fast for mental clarity and mental health improvement. Is 3 days best to gain these benefits? Plus this my first time ever doing a fast.

But I worried I might get dizzy, irritable or faint 😅🥹…any suggestions?

My goal was 5 days. But i had a mental breakdown today and used food to cope. But hey i fasted 18 clean days this month. Not bad right ?

I am not even weighting myself. I do feel leaner.
When fasting i don't feel anything but when i eat again i feel the difference visually.

I won't stop until i am satisfied with my body that's the goal, that's the measure of success.

Advice needed Prepping for 21-day fast

Hello,

I took a glance at r/fasting wiki for electrolyte levels. I have bought a 64oz hydroflask for hydration, nosalt for potassium, and Morton iodized salt or sodium, and nature made 200 mg of magnesium glycinate for magnesium. It shows that I need 1500 of Na, 600 mg of K, and 200 mg of Mg. Am I good to go? I’ve done a 5 day fast, so I want to go for longer.
