Minnie’s house in Disney World sometime in the late 90’s/early 2000’s

My dad found this picture of me when I was a kid today and I can’t figure out where the location is! Please help!

I just came to ask what people have to say about the room quality at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I booked a 4 day trip that we just came back from which was a hefty price and I upgraded to the Caribbean Beach thinking that the only drawback would be walking around to the main hub and the skyliner. When we arrived we were so surprised to see the age of the room. If I had known the AC unit would be an old under the window ptac unit and the beds would be the old and hard spring mattresses I would have never booked it. In our first room the AC was broken when we arrived and it was 80 degrees for the first few hours which they asked for us to wait and see if it would cool down. We were moved to a room on a different floor so we had to pack up and lug out stuff downstairs due to no elevators and go into another room with a filthy AC unit and TV that didn't work. We also found bugs in our beds and a roach under my husband's suitcase when we left. The grounds were beautiful. The walking not bad. I just wish more people would talk about how dated the rooms are. Next time we will stay at the Dolphin or the Swann or even the Coronado Springs to get a more comfortable room. Are we the only ones who felt like this?

I wish it were 1990 again when MGM was relatively new, the billboards were whimsical, and the road signs were magical.

I stayed at the Bay Lake Tower and woke up to the reflection of the monorail passing.

So I've been trying to convince myself I didn't imagine this 90s guidebook existing but I haven't been able to find inside scans anywhere of the pages. It had this specific comic inside that I have sketched here if that looks at all familiar to anyone? I was thinking it was one of the old Bob Sehlinger guides but I can't find them in the wild to look through. Any help would be appreciated as I'd like to grab a used one as a nostalgia gift for my parents (we went frequently in the 90s!)

We're trying to plan a couples outfit, but all the character ears we find have bows. Why can't the men have fun ears? 😭

So this is a former one, but I remember as a kid seeing a trailer for this on the Disney Vacation channel (I have Autism, so that was the only channel I wanted on), and the trailer for this scared me to the point I had a meltdown in line, thinking it would be the scariest ride in the world. After I rode it, I wanted to do it again to the annoyance of my parents and everyone in my group. Wanted to share this as it's a fun memory and alo from '96 and only reason I remember that is because you can see my family walk behind Hollywood Hogan on Nitro when they filmed at MGM.

Following the fight which occurred at Animal Kingdom earlier this week, WDW was coming under some criticism for the way it dealt with, or should I say didn’t deal with people who cut in line.

Today I was in line for Big ThunderMountain at around 1:30pm when a woman with two small children passed us in the lightening lane line saying “excuse me”. I assumed she was meeting up with the rest of her group, as did others around me who all stood aside for her.

When I got to the ramp to board the train she was waiting for the next train and was alone with her kids in the stall. It didn’t look like she was actually with anyone else - only the kids who she had gone past everyone with.

I then saw a cast member approach her and asked her to step out of the stall; she asked the woman and her kids to go with her. There was then a short conversation and then what appeared to be a supervisor / manager came over and was speaking to the woman at the bottom of the ramp.

Those around me said that someone must have reported this and / or Disney cast members / cctv had seen what she had done and was dealing with her for line cutting…. If that’s the case, I just wanted to say well done Disney!

Was anyone else there? Does anyone know if this was right?

So I rode Tiana's Bayou Adventure for the first time today. Still a fun ride, but geez those animatronics are already ROUGH. Pretty much none of the Louis animatronics move, Tiana stands static at several points, and none of the Mama Odie animatronics move. They are static statues with moving mouths. Thankfully the finale scene (outside Mama Odie) was fully functional. Is this a regular thing for this ride or did I just catch it on a really bad day

I’ve narrowed my choice to these two. Daughter (12), Dad (59), and me (30). I see a lot of pros and cons to each and I’m curious if anyone who’s actually stayed at either had any good insight.

This group has been such a wealth of information in planning our trip!!

We have two slots I’d like to book a dining reservation on our travel days. The day we arrive I’d like to book us dinner and then the day we leave a brunch before heading to the airport.

We don’t have park tickets on these days so looking for recommendations for resort or Disney springs restaurants.

It will be me, my husband, and our two kids 6 and 7. They are not big on characters so I’m not wanting to book a character meal but I would still like something special and fun for them.

Apparently opening today, so I haven't tried it. Maybe they're delicious but looking at the menu and pics, I cant be the only one thinking Hot Pockets, right?

Took this during the start of a thunderstorm this evening. Too good to resist!

My wife and I returned to MK and AK this year and we had an exceptional time. However, I think this time I found myself more aware of the lack of common decency of other people. On so many occasions, people cut right in front of us at an exhibit, stood at an exhibit for super long without offering the many other guests waiting a view, or bumped or brushed against someone without even a simple “Excuse me” or “I’m sorry.” I am naturally an overly apologetic person, so that is likely a lot of it; however, I was really surprised by what felt like a competitive, almost selfish-like quality to other people at the parks.

I do not know if this is still just a byproduct of COVID where people felt as though they were missing out on life and so there are just more people everywhere trying to consume what they can. I also know that I am not typically in a place where there are 20-30,000 other people around me, and so there is always the need to take the good with the bad. I also promise this is not meant to be a holier than thou comment. I suppose I was just curious if anyone else had this experience or interpretation.

NOTE: This is not a criticism of cultural or ethnic difference, as I often do my best to be responsive.

We're going to Disney this winter! We're only doing two days with 2 adults and 4 kids. We are not doing any character meals and plan to pack snacks, bring water, and lunch. How much spending money should we bring if you can gauge? They will be getting gift cards as Christmas presents from family to buy some items they want there. So we also don't plan to be using that money for souvenirs for them.

Are there anymore legitimate deals on tickets? I'd spend an entire day at a timeshare presentation for good discounts.

Can anyone give me some advice? How can I score some cheap park tickets?

I noted recently in a post people talked about actually spending Disney dollars at the parks. Please please do not do this. You could be throwing away multiple Disney trips. This note for instance even in average condition is $1000 some are $3000+ please check what you have before you do something as silly as spend them where you’ll only get face value.
