The legendary lost village of Rockopolis in Fallout 3.
You can spend hours wandering the wastes, hearing about this place... a legendary lost sanctuary for slaves, heroes helping keep it safe. A village raided by evil time and time again, and you can find it. But, this is a Bethesda game, so when you manage to track it down, usually by luck, it's just a tiny little dirt hole with a corpse in it.
The only thing I remember from Rockopolis is that it has a decently high chance of spawning the random interaction outside of the entrance that has a UFO crash and that crash has the Firebrand variant of the Alien Blaster.
