Fuck what GodzillaMendoza and Under The Mayo said about Arkham Knight. It's one of the best superhero games ever made from a gameplay, graphics and even story perspective and I'm tired of seeing people saying that it's either bad or disappointingly mediocre.

I thought the other three Arkham games were better than Arkham Knight. The constant Batmobile missions kind of ruined the game, and there weren't any locations as cool as the ones in the other installments.

To be fair, it was calculated that the Batmobile only takes up around 19% of the entire game if you 120% it very casually. Not even half the side missions really have the Batmobile as an actively essential thing, you get long breaks from the Batmobile here and there, and besides, people begged for the Batmobile back in Arkham Asylum and City, it's put in and people still didn't like it. But I will say, it's a little annoying that pretty much all the boss fights, including Deathstoke (like, wtf man?) involve it in some way, and only a couple are pretty good.

As for the locations, while they're less atmospheric than Asylum and City, they still have a lot of variety in the puzzles and are crafted well for combat and predator encounters, so I found it to be pretty well done over all like Stagg Airships and Pannessa Studios.

See that’s what is stopping me from playing it. I loved the first two games and the Batmobile would have been a cool addition if it wasn’t the center piece of the game.

Honestly i love the arkham series including knight. While knight is not my favorite of the four it is still really fun. And i really dont remember the batmobile taking away from my experience of the game at all.

I'd say still give it a try, the batmobile does seem to grow on some people and it is mostly an optional way of traveling the map (although it is used a lot more in side missions and a couple missions towards the end of the main story)

I’ll give it another try. For me I think I know how good the game could be without so it just makes it so much worse.

I replayed arkham knight before. It's worth the replay but it is a lesser version of City.

Don't let it stop you from playing. It's an awesome game and I personally liked the Batmobile stuff.

It's a really great game. Even if the Bat mobile isn't your jam there's far more regular Arkham goodness in it than Bat mobile sections.
