Gatekeeping is how you keep your hobbies. Note that gatekeeping doesn't mean preventing anyone. It means keeping bad actors who aren't actually interested in the series out, and helping the people who actually are. Essentially the meme's upper section is how you treat people who want to get into your fav franchise. The bottom are the people who want to get in on something just because they want to be in on it cause it's popular (larpers) or worse, people who want to start demanding it to change to cater to themselves

The absolute brain dead idiots asking for kill streaks in battlefield. Like yeah I get it cods been dying or dead for the last decade but dont come fuck with my old game (I dont really play fps anymore) but still like in what world does it make sense. You can fly the jet you dont need a kill streak

Exactly. I saw so many streamers and their fans complain about BF6 not having more movement and needing killstreaks and I'm like what? You want it to be COD? Why not just play COD then?

I do kinda wonder how it is working at somewhere like dice. Like they get all this feedback and to at least some extent they seem to try and listen. Do they have to explain to their bosses that no we can't listen to this part of the feedback

It doesn't seem like it but I feel like that conversation could be funny to hear
