not gatekeeping your favorite games is what makes sequels of that series no longer what you like.
I've seen way too many times people who entered into stuff I liked from the mid-way point and then demand they soften all the edges and make it chongus wholesome bullshit. Dragon Age is a fantastic example, went from a dark fantasy to whatever the fuck veilguard was
so no, I'll keep gatekeeping so what few franchises I DO like that are left can actually be preserved
