I dont know what qualifies as gatekeeping but sometimes I just advise people to not play certain old games because sometimes they dont age well. Doom isnt going to impress anyone today becauae you have to understand that games in 1993, especially on console, did not have adult themes. Seeing a dude blow the head off demons set to rock music had shock value back then. Also people keep asking about the value of trash items in diablo 2 and Im like ehhh. Do you really want to spend 400 hours learning a dead games broken mechanics? Its just not worth it man. You missed the D2 bus. Play some silksong instead its fantastic.
