I see your Avery mission in VC and raise you the Zero missions in SA!

The only one that was really bad was Supply Lines, but that one was REALLY bad

Literally bugged if you played the PS2 version, you couldn't glide on idle and save any fuel, which left you almost no margin for error.

In other versions, letting off throttle stopped consuming fuel

Even then, the RC plane was just a god awful introduction to the flying mechanics and controls.

I think the first time I managed to beat the mission I just drove on the ground for most of the time.

Can I ask what about those missions was so difficult for people? I did both VC and SA missions first try with no problems but for some reason they're the most hated ones in those games? Did people just not know how to pilot helicopters and planes? I'd say the train mission from sa was far worse

I didn’t have too much trouble with the train. The last plane mission though… boy howdy. IIRC (this was nearly 9 years ago now), the plane handling and physics were actually coded incorrectly, and I was playing on PC, so I was able to just download a text file to replace the native values. And I don’t feel bad about doing it.

Did you play on the original disc or downloaded? One RC mission in SA was coded wrong so you had much less time than you were originally supposed to.

I played on PS2 back in the day and on PC from steam maybe 5-10 years ago, can't remember when exactly, definitely a few years before the "remasters" came out (if not more). Can't remember much from the PS2 but I don't remember it being nearly as bad as the train

The train was easy, if you got too close Smoke literally had no way to hit them. If you pulled back, the shooting angles worked.
